I can't believe that my first 'next gen' console will be the Wii U. I was going to hold off until a Mario Galaxy game but this looks equally crazy.

I assumed PS4 would be my first buy, but now I am avoiding the launch and I'll pick one up with Infamous Second Son.

Any word on a Wii U bundle with 3D world? Australian stores recently announced a New Mario/Luigi bundle to be released not long before 3D world. I think i might just get that.

This is too much ... Now I'm not sad about the lack of Galaxy 3 .

Still wish they'd bring back the Metal Cap power up.

This is almost enough to make me buy a Wii U. If there's a decent deal for the console around Black Friday I might break down and finally buy one.

I'm excited about this game. But the tone of this trailer is a painful reminder that Nintendo isn't making games for me anymore.

To say nothing about the game play, since I think it's going to play just fine as Mario games have done in the past, this game visually looks pretty great. It looks a little better than if you took Super Mario Galaxy 2 and turned it into HD with good anti-aliasing, which is more than sufficient.

I feel they've took just enough things to change it up to feel fresh, though I do wonder when those new ideas or tweaks that makes things interesting enough will run out. I hope the worlds are enjoyable; Galaxy had my favorite out of any Mario game and it'll be hard to beat.

Also, I'm glad there's finally a legit reason to pick Toad in a four-character Mario game. "Picks up veggies faster" is sorta super fucking lame. By the way, what does the Tanooki Suit do for Peach? Just give her float a longer tail (no pun intended)?

If I'm honest. Super Mario 3D Land didn't really catch on with me, even after I had played it all the way through it was kind of boring.

However, this looks like a gigantic leap in the right direction. Pacing is faster there's WAY more overall options for gameplay and the levels look really fun. This'll definitely be a must buy when I get a Wii U
