I hate the 3d polygon designs for the characters! I just wish they'd go back to the look of the gba games, the fight animations were so much better and interesting.

They obviously won't, but part of me hopes they keep "The Latest in the Fire Emblem Series" as the name. Would fit the super confusing way Nintendo has been naming stuff lately

@jesushammer: Atlus is the one working on it, not Intelligent Systems. Atlus has a trend to say a game is coming, then not show anything until 2-3 months before it comes out.

Exiting! I'm almost sorta bummed they aren't trying to do a fire emblem on a home console cause I'm curious to see how that would look.

This game is called Fire Emblem If in Japan, a possible relation to Shin Megami Tensei if...?

I NEED THIS NOW. Or sometime later this year, once it's had time get get really good. That pivoting of the camera into the battle screen was incredible.

Ah... so it's The next Great Sequel in the Fire Emblem Franchise.

Awakening was my first Fire Emblem, not counting the ambassador game I dabled with for a couple of hours, and it has ended up on the disappointingly short list of RPGs I've been into that I've actually managed to finish, so that's a good sign. Not sure if I have another one in me for a while though.

I wonder is 8-4 will be doing the localization again, maybe this was project S?

WOOOOO! I thought the Fire Emblem team was working on Codename Steam, so I didn't expect to see anything about a new Fire Emblem for a while.

Development was "on schedule" as of E3 2014.

Well the title seems to be early in development since it doesn't even have a proper English name yet, so that may change. Also most 3DS games look like they have no anti-aliasing when shown in trailers but end up looking fine on actual hardware.

I never played a Fire Emblem game before Awakening. It was one of my favourite games of that year and I loved all the characters in it. I can't wait to see what they do with this new one!

They better have the ability to marry off all your characters like Awakening did! That was the best part! I played through that game like 4 times just to play fantasy match-maker... also admittedly because the SD card in my 3DS 'asploded a couple times.

Very excited for this. Also quite enamoured with the brief moments in this trailer that, to me at least, resemble a Grimes video.

Fucking stoked! Probably Fall 2015 for Japan and Spring 2016 for NA.
