This will sound weird to some people, but I seriously love the hell out of tropico. That first game has hundreds of hours of fond memories for me.

Never gonna be the same for me =(

Needs more statues of El Presidente.

I'm not much of a city builder type, but last year I picked up Sim city and Tropico 4. Gotta say I had way more fun with Tropico than I anticipated, and Sim City didn't take,at all.

Anyway this one looks pretty good, I'll probably grab it on a steam sale.

Its all work and no play for El Presidenté.

I played so much Tropico 4 I don't think I can pass this up.

i was getting kind of excited until i saw it was coming to xbox 360 and ps3. Now I'm not so sure.

Doesn't sound weird at all. City Builder games are almost always enjoyable. At least to me.

This one looks to be shaping up to offer a good time for aspiring El Presidents of the world. I can't wait to revisit Tropico. :)

Viva la El Presidente!

I really enjoyed Tropico 4, even though the missions became really easy and repetitive once you figured out a surefire way to grow and sustain your economy. Pretty stoked for this.

Linux? NICE!

I've never played a Tropico game before, but now seems a good time to start. Looks good.

I will never not enjoy the music of the Tropico games.

@atwa: All right, all right, I'm going!

I have such a soft spot for the Tropico series.

It actually says ps4, which is weird. Why 360 and ps4? Anyway, 3 was on consoles as well, so i don't think there's much to worry about.

Well, this has to be good if Hooked Gamers said something positive in a preview.

I can't roll my eyes hard enough.

Penultimo pack our bags. Tropico cries for El Presidente's return!

I've recently been having a great time with Tropico 4 after picking it up in a cheap bundle. I wasn't expecting a Tropico 5 announcement, but I'm very excited about this.

Posted by machinerebel

Tropico was always better than any Sim City there I said it *breathes heavily*

With Tropico 3 and 4 being the exakt same Game with minor changes suited for an small hotfix i will wait and see before i give them more of my money.

So is El Presidente an immortal vampire of some kind? You think after a 200+ years of ruling, the citizenry might start questioning his agelessness.

Posted by ThatOneDudeNick

I've always loved the Tropico games. Looking forward to this.

I suck at Tropico since 3. I guess I should mess around with 4 now that I have it, even though it's basically 3. Definitely gonna skip 5 unless it comes in a humble bundle or something.

@sesquipedaliant: He's a Time Lord, every 100 years he regenerates into a new body(which looks exactly the same as the previous one).

Not at all, the games seem to be well respected. I picked up Tropico 4 a week or two ago, and I love it. Kind of bummed I watched this, because it's kind of making me wish it looked as good (especially the character models).
