I really wish they had announced a PC version releasing at the same time. I trust Rockstar to make sure this runs well on the consoles, but goddamn, having an SSD is so awesome.

Still can't fathom that this is coming in just a few weeks. Rockstar really knows how to hype with just so few trailers and then hype this shit up like 2 months before release. Kinda like their hype strategy there.

Nah, I'm on a media blackout now. Rockstar have already showed an uncharacteristic amount of this game. I was pretty surprised they put out that pretty long gameplay video because I don't think they've ever done that with previous games, always 'movie-like' trailers.

Gonna check out the PS3 digital pre-order price now.

I do and don't, RDR ran quite well on console but GTA IV ran badly, really badly.

RDR ran a lot better than GTA IV though so here's hoping they have it running nicely, they seem to be using the Max Payne variation of their engine so if that ran well on console it might be a good indication, but who knows how good it'll work when stretched to the huge open world they've built.

A lot of people might be worried after how Saints Row IV turned out as well. It'll be interesting to see anyway.

@sooty: You weren't paying attention when Red Dead was coming out, then. They had an entire series of 5 minute informercial type trailers explaining all the individual systems of the game. We've seen absolutely nothing of GTAV in comparison.

I never pre-order games (whats the point?) but when I do its Grand Theft Auto! I just hope the game is as good as I think it will be. I have high expectations, yes, but I am trying to stay grounded as possible until I play it for myself.

I'm sorry, but there is no way any of the footage that has been shown on these trailers is running on a 360/PS3. It's just not. They should pony up and announce the damn PC version already.

I dunno, but Rockstar just has this touch. Nothing particularly amazing about that trailer, but the music, the cuts, voice acting - it got me all goosebumpy about wanting to play this game in a way that I haven't felt about anything in the last year or two.

That framerate....we shall see...

Man, Rockstar really knows how to pick the right voice actors. Good stuff.

People who have actually went to Rockstar and seen everything have said that it is definitely running on PS3.

What's the song?

The PC release will be the definitive release date. Think of the console release as a slideshow demo with load screens every 3 minute just so some long in the tooth hardware can be eulogized by a great franchise which deserves far better treatment.

I sure hope it looks as fantastic as it has in all of these trailers when I pop it in my PS3 in three weeks!
