Are they going to do the thing where they sell you a season pass, then sell new content that isn't included in the season pass, and then later on add it all including the preorder bonuses in a GOTY edition for a fraction of what you paid?

There's no such thing as a pre-sequel, this is a midquel. But I'll chalk that up to marketing.

Getting pretty tired of sequels that reuse tons and tons of stuff from the previous game in the series. I understand games cost a lot of money to make, but.....man. Come on. At least create a new HUD...

That's literally the same HUD as 2, what the FUCK Gearbox. I like the gameplay in these games but man going up against Destiny did not give them any pressure to innovate.

Hey, maybe if the humour doesn't all come from Reddit this time at least the writing won't make me want to pull my teeth out.

Seriously though, they would have to change so much about the Borderlands formula to make me interested in this game. Even little changes like having more than 1 goddamn active skill. 99% passives are so dull, and doesn't do enough to differentiate the classes

Also, a huge problem with Borderlands already is that there isn't enough environment variety. 2 was an improvement on 1, but all taking place on one small, rocky moon? I dunno

This looks sooooo similiar to the previous games, down to the identical HUD. I'm a fan of the franchise, but I don't know about this one...

Wow, that sure is Borderlands... But then again more Borderlands isn't a bad thing.

i see this as a kind of expansion pack and im still pretty psyched.

borderlands seems to garner a lot of negativity and sighing from people which im guessing has to do with the humor stuff... but the gameplay is fast paced and great and builds can be very creative.

Im ready for some more Borderlands but im not too sure about this. I dont mind it being the same core game as Borderlands 2 but the environment being the moon i dont see how much diversity they can fit in. Also its not the main/same studio as the others (i think) so idk about that. The Ice and Laser weapons look neat though.

Wow, you still have to pick up money and bullets manually from containers after opening them. I don't understand why it has to be like that. Money and loot from the ground gets picked up automatically!

The problem with a pre-sequel: why do they have technology that didn't exist in the other games? =P

Anyway, ya it's borderlands. I never got into these games as they're more fun if you play with other people, but it's cool for people that like these games I suppose.

full new standalone sequel that is BL2 and is an expansion because we spent too much time on it and are scared we won't make enough money if we do it as DLC so here it is on a disc please buy it k thanks also full game not an expansion full independent gaem okay. okay!? shutup!

This. Can't understand how people don't get horribly bored of these games after the first few hours due to this very fact. The classes shouldn't have to specialise and lock out other options when you only have 1 F*CKING ACTIVE SKILL.

I'll probably get this at some point. I've had fun with the others and the dlc so far, and nothing they showed here seems terrible.

Looks ok. Definitely more Borderlands...for better or for worse. I wish they would've changed it up just a little bit more.

Also, coming out this fall but not on PS4/XBO. I don't own either console yet...and that's kinda why. And it's kinda lame.

Looks like more Borderlands and I'm alright with that.

I'm not going to say I wouldn't like more active skills, but the system in place is pretty robust though. For any class you can create several builds that focus on something completely different. It wasn't that apparent to me at first either, but you'll figure it out when playing Ultimate Vault Hunter mode and getting your ass handed to you.

I really enjoyed playing Borderlands 2 for hundreds of hours. I'm actually going to get it for the Vita as well tomorrow.

This game is going to be snooze-ville. If borderlands 2 taught me anything, it's that you can make a video game by browsing reddit for all your jokes.

I'm not a fan of this oxygen thing from what I've seen here. I realise why it's there of course, but I think there are better ways of contriving ways to perform new abilities without you having to find air hotspots to stand on every couple of minutes. Seems kinda dull.

Oxygen Management? Yeah. Fun. I DO so love having a constantly ticking timer which I need to replenish. Great.

I really liked BL2, but oxygen management has never been fun in any game.

EDIT: Hm. Atmosphere is not the same thing as gravity, guys.

Looks fun. As burnt on BL2 as I am, I'm sure I'll be down to revisit Borderlands in this game. Looks like enough new content to do so, even only on the previous systems.

@korolev: Yeah having small domes that generate atmosphere wouldn't change gravity,however it would stop the items from flying out of the containers as long as the pressure inside the sealed containers and the domes were equal. Although from the footage it does look like it generates gravity as well.

Ok, I'm down. Whatever Gearbox is working on better have creatable characters, classes and guns/equipment though.

I liked BL2 until I realized what late-game bits of it were screwy, especially when it came to level progression and the drop rate of good weaponry. I hope this fixes that.

Game looks fine but I feel like these guys did a bad job trying to sell it to me. They sounded like they were reading a script with zero emotion.

Someone will hack the oxygen feature. Maybe SpaceAiden.
