Here's a Fresh Look at Max Payne 3's Multiplayer

2:10 looks like Jamie Hyneman. Apparently the dude has pent up rage.

maxpaynedev1 was waaay OP. maxpaynedev3 was kicking his ass though.

I was worried that this was an Uncharted knockoff... but there seems to be some originality... still might only rent it though...

I agree in that Max Payne always has been about the single player campaign. Hadn't Remedy said that multiplayer was even against their general philosophy regarding game development (or at least for this series)?

This just doesn't look that interesting to me. I'm hoping Rockstar can pull off a miracle and make a decent Max Payne game without Remedy and Sam Lake, but I'm certainly not anticipating it.

Ugh, can't wait.........10 days more!

This looks like a faster, more fluid GTA IV multiplayer with no cars. Could be good, could be meh. Only time will tell!

I feel like the narrator is a relative of Billy Maes, and he's trying to sell me Max Payne and soap is soon to follow.

I'm with a lot of other people, bullet time in multiplayer seems nanners. If it works well, though, it could be really rad.

Max Payne isn't CoD. The single player campaign is where it's all at. And i don't really see why a game like Max Payne needs multiplayer, but so long as the single player is great, no complaints from me...anymore.

Enough teasing!!! Give us the game already!!!!

@reflekshun: It's probably when both players initiate slow-motion at the same time, then they're wrapped in a cocoon where time only slows around them until either one dies.

Ugh, the bursts seem real stupid. Press a button and make the enemy team explode! yeah, that seems like a fun idea.

I like shooting dudes in the head and I like Max Payne so I think this will make me happy.

Bullet time in multiplayer has never and will never work.

Really can't wait until this comes out and ends up great so all the complaining will finally stop. So much bitching over this game.

It must be nice to have such fan loyalty that you can make a crap product and they'll all buy and defend it to their dying breath.

Not saying MP3 is crap. But I know Rockstar could release a Barbie's Horse Adventure game and all the fanboys would scream it was the second coming of Christ.

Is the third time the charm for Rockstar to make a great multiplayer? GTA4 MP was fun in a dumb way and RedDead almost hit the mark (pun intended).

Those of you who are whining about bullet time in multiplayer, should take a look at an old HL1 mod, The Specialists. Not only did they do it, they did it perfectly well.

As an old-school Max Payne fan, I'm stil not sure whether or not to be excited about this.

I'm saying every other time I've seen it it always looked like a weird gimmick they were forcing into the multiplayer, this actually looks like it could work well.

It sounds like it benefits the user and punishes everyone else. To me, that seems like it would get very tiresome when it's popping off three or four times in a round.

It's set up so that whoever sees it is put in bullet time as well, so I could pop it off with a bunch of guys behind me, letting them easily line up a headshot. From what I've seen, it looks like it will only punish enemy's who cluster together, which would make it no different from throwing a grenade.

And 3 or 4 times in a 10 to 15 minute match isn't a lot considering the effect only lasts about 6 or 7 seconds. And maybe it instantly stops when the person who triggered it dies?
