How's the online experience on PC? Dunno if I'll get the PC or PS3 version. Had an outstanding time with Battlelog and Hot Pursuit on PS3 last time around.

Wow, it's Burnout Paradise 2, but not quite as crazy. Fuck this game. I liked Paradise, and Hot Pursuit 2010 was pretty good, but this is just in a weird middle space between the two, no thanks. Underground 3 or GTFO.

It's irritating that most driving games act as if they don't have to care about the integrity of their world and plaster it with forth-wall breaking ads, just because thats what driving games have always done. ads aren't going to stop anyone from playing their games but taking them out shows class and makes people take their cool fun-looking game more seriously.

Burnout to me always felt very anti-authoritarian, very punk rock, very British. Playing it when everyone else was playing Gran Turismo or Colin McRae always felt like listening to the records you knew you parents would hate.

EA, If you want to excite me, show me 8 player crash junctions not Facebook integration.

The more I see of this game the more I like, especially the drifting mode! Too bad you can't customize body kits like Underground but oh well. Maybe DLC.

This did its job. I was only mildly interested in this before. Now. Sold.

So this is just burnout, right?

It looks interesting and all, but a few things are worrying me about this one. First off, the handling model in the past few NFS games has been horrendous. Far too heavy. I may be a minority in this, but I found driving in Hot Pursuit and The Run (more so the latter) incredibly frustrating.

Second, the open world nature of the races. Burnout Paradise was an excellent cooperative "lets just screw around" fest, but racing was a huge headache due to the fact that unless you know the world like the back of your hand, planning out your route on the minimap ended in disaster a good amount of the time.

Don't interpret this as me crapping all over this game. I'm quite interested in checking it out, but I'm merely cautiously optimistic that it'll be worth the time.

The car crashing through the Bioware logo is a great metaphor.

So has it been confirmed that Razor is back? If so, this may be my game of the year.

It looks a lot more creative and energetic about what it's doing.

Forza Horizon is classic Forza in the sense that they're all like, " . . . and here we are . . . there's a festival, yeah . . . the cars can go fast on these roads . . . and to your left, some fireworks you can drive to so you can switch cars . . . and there are dirt roads . . . it's all very exciting, we promise."

And then it isn't exciting.

I have a sneaking suspicion this is going to be in contention for my game of the year. It might just be Burnout Paradise with elements taken from Hot Pursuit, but those are probably my favorite racing games of this generation.
