er, guys... it's drum 'n' bass.

anyway, if this game keeps this graphics quality when it comes out i might decide to pick it. quite skeptical tho, saw a streaming with totalbiscuit commenting and it wasn't that great.

I actually might totally love that music as the soundtrack to the game.

yanno, when watching videos (even here on GB) of ShootMania i had my doubts too.. until i played the beta a couple of times and it is surprisingly fun and addictive.. many maps could be done better but with this editor im sure the community will roll out some gems

Awesome looking map editor.

There's distorted dark wobble bass, but there is no drop - this is not dubstep.
 
And I wonder how far that map designer could go in creating maps out of Quake 1 and 2, I'd love to give it a shot, loving a good challenge.

When you see: "Here's a Look at..." you know that the trailer was uploaded by Alex.

@Porkellain: God it's been years since I've delved into Drum and Bass. Is it still Just One Second (Apex Remix) that's the best drum in bass song... or liquid dnb

@EgoCheck616: to be honest i hate tb since he started whining about cataclysm lol. also, he was pretty enthusiastic about shootmania, so no problems about his biased cries this time. it's just that after watching this video the graphic quality of that streaming has been a little underwhelming. it wouldn't be the first time in which the quality of the final product is not the same as the trailers' one, but still i'm hopeful, as i said to talis.

You can't be serious. Were any of you even ALIVE in the nineties? There aren't even any bass drops in this video. Jesus. Drum'n'bass, IDM, EDM, the million flavors of House, and a generation's worth of electronic music would like to have a word with you.

The drums aren't in half time, either, and I think the bpm may be slightly too high to be within dubstep norms. Not to mention the mood doesn't jive with dubstep at all, and that's really the most important thing when determining genres. It's just a jazzy, clubby sounding track with some wubs in the middle. Not everything that wubs is dubstep, folks!

That editor looks real nice. A great blend between depth and usability. I wonder if Giantbomb will take another look at this once it's actually released, see the changes made since the beta. I'm a big fan of arena shooter action like this, but it probably could use some tweaking from what we saw earlier. It's still a long way from Unreal Tournament or Quake III. Even though there's a chance that Jeff and Vinny could've just been restricted to those rules and guns due to the maps they were playing...
