And now, instead of Skyrim DLC, you show us this stuff. Granted, there are worse things than colonial/steampunk things with an obvious Bioshock flare, but still: Fuck you.

The guy talking to the prisoner sounds an awful lot like Billy Lush from The Black Donnellys, Generation Kill and The Chicago Code.

This game is supposed to be like Deus Ex meets Thief. So, a million times more interesting than Skyrim DLC.

@Moonshadow101: They never promised Skyrim. You extrapolated on it based on one still image that looked, at least to me, nothing like Skyrim, and let the hype get to you. That's not their fault at all. I for one always welcome a new IP in today's market.

This just looks like somebody making a Bioshock ripoff, the "plasmids" in your hand, the kind of not really steampunk aesthetic.

weren't the plasmids already a rip-off of the Psi abilities from System Shock 2? Also, last time I checked Bioshock didn't have time manipulation, animal possession and warping for plasmids.

I had never heard of this game before. Thought this was an announcement trailer.

Wow, this looks very nice! "Revenge solves everything" is kinda my playstyle in games, so this game should appeal to me.

I believe Arkane isn't owned by Bethesda so it's probably that.

@AMReese: Obviously they never promised it, but they certainly hinted. It's not a wacky extrapolation to assume that the image of the ragged, well-built blonde man has something to do with their game about ragged, well-built blonde men. Especially since the earlier Kinect support announcement told us to stay tuned for further upcoming DLC announcements.

So, Assassin's Creed meets Bioshock meets Deus Ex meets Singularity.
 
Could be good, I guess. But I don't see a hook in that trailer. It borrows so heavily from others that it needs something of its own to hook people in.
Or maybe it's just damn well executed game and doesn't.
And then again, it's just a trailer anyway so who knows.

Definitely looking forward to this. Could be something quite special. Dave H at GamesRadar has been claiming it will be his GotY since early January. We'll have to wait and see on that one I guess, but it's certainly a bold claim. Be really interested to see how this actually converts to gameplay.

I like the concept but something about the art style rubs me the wrong way. We'll see how it looks ingame.

Did Darksiders have anything of it's own ? And when I played that game I felt hooked...

It's not Unreal, it's Source.

I do remember in an RPS interview that they stated that it was Unreal. It's also written in the game's wiki page.

Awesome Visuals and cinematic effects, but lack of actual gameplay makes me skeptical.
