The game kind of looks terrible. A lesser Farcry 3 with the stealth play and just dull boring FPS single player we've seen a hundred times before.

This game screams design by committee.

@assinass: What a bunch of garbage. So this Call of Juarez game is racist because it's set in the Mexican drug war and you kill people of a particular skin color. What about all the games where you kill white people? Are WW2 games horribly racist because you kill white germans? I doubt that level with only black people was intentionally set up to be some kind of KKK mission, it's probably either lazy design or the level is taking place in a black neighborhood, then it would make sense for there to be lots of black people around.

The game literally seems to just plaster tea party flags and rhetoric around the enemies you kill, don't pretend like it's making a serious political commentary or anything like that. This seems almost as bad as those early trailers of Rainbow Six Patriots in which the horrible evil kidnapping terrorists were of course also speaking against the banking establishment.

The democratic party is full of disgusting racists too, just visit any college and you can hear them ramble about how evil white men are and how they are guilty of everything bad in the world and need to pay for it.

The achievement is not for killing black people. The achievement is for killing all the people in a level. If that level was full of white people would you scream racism too? I know tons of shooters that have levels full of only white people...

I just want political shit to get out of my games. I wouldn't like it if the enemies had Obama posters everywhere either.

By not mentioning some things, that's also political and social commentary no matter how much some companies would like to deny it (see: Nintendo and Tomodachi Life controversy).

I hope racial profiling is part of the storyline considering what's going on at Ferguson, MO right now. Can see hints of it here.

Gameplay actually looks interesting with the freeze command and taser stuff, a bit like SWAT 4.

Well, this looks dull and insensitive, not a great combination.

In light of current events and questions of militarized police going on right now in Ferguson, this game inadvertently got into an awkward position.

I'm not entirely sold on the linear Far Cry gameplay, yet, but I really don't like the basic cable crime drama television vibe this game is so obviously going for.

Would much prefer to see top quality movie standards in their writing, voice acting and character design, rather than this early evening NBC television show crap.

Games are so expensive to make; go the extra mile with story production to make something great.

I read this as "...Ian Malcolmtalks over a chunk of Battlefield Hardline's single-player campaign" and got really excited for some Jeff Goldblum. Man, Jeff Goldblum needs to be in more video games!!

The part where it turned into Far Cry 3 seemed interesting, but I dunno. Using a human shield doesn't really seem like something cops should do, even if the shield is an enemy.

This seems actually rather decent! A bit heavy on the police brutality buuuuuuuuut VIDEO GAMES!

Real heavy-handed with the neo-con 'Murica tea party shit. That's kinda horrible. I don't really get on to political stuff in games but this... Holy shit. A little subtlety maybe?

Edit: Graphics look great as always. Gameplay looks like a weird mismatch of Battlefield and Far Cry. Not sure how I feel about that.

That blood exploding off the bodies looks fantastic. Withholding all other opinions.

The idea that two armed guards would surrender at the sight of a single police officer, especially in the middle of an entire compound full of armed guards is nothing short of ludicrous. That being said, this looks alright in the interactive Micheal Bay film sort of way.

Who cares? I don't see what is wrong with that flag being in the game or being displayed in real world. Things don't need to be cleaned out to fit your view of the world. That flag is EVERYWHERE in a lot of parts of the country. It's also a flag with a shit ton of different meanings. Basically anyone who disagrees with someone in the country has used it.

The character I'm pretty sure is literally referred to as being a Mexican on numerous occasions. Also, his name is fairly telling.

This is inspired by and fashioned after TV, and mixed race is the hot thing on TV now. So I'm sure he's probably half Mexican, half Swedish or something.

It's weird. Some of it looks like it's barely a Battlefield game. Until suddenly Battlefield rears it's beautiful head. But in completely the wrong place. It's weird that this hillbilly methheads or whatever are carrying AK-12s or whatever it is they have. And have MP5's and a bunch of other very expensive guns. I liked the touches of the Don't Tread On Me stuff until it was tossed away for Tacticool awesomesauce. I miss the days when it was cool to have enemies using old shitty guns when appropriate. Now we can only go up against high tech warfighters.

And then there was the little blueprint of a missile and I just sort of realized this is basically going to be FarCry 3, Battlefield style.

I liked the stuff that didn't look like BF. But the BF elements seemed crammed in there. And I LIKE Battlefield, I was one of the few who didn't have a flaming spear up my rear-end about BF4 (don't get me wrong, it was disappointing but it was still an excellent and fun game).

I think my least favorite part was throwing the casings. The reaction to it is so gamey and unrealistic. Just seems dumb.

Hmmm, this video only adds to my concern that the project is suffering a real identity crisis. They're still telling us it's a police action thriller, but the action is essentially a palette swap on the same military action and stealth base takedowns we've seen for years now.

I don't agree that it looks outright bad, but it's doing nothing to inspire my enthusiasm. I wish Visceral could have done something not tied to the Battlefield franchise (a series I hold dear to my heart) - it doesn't look good for them, or the series.

Boy, I don't like what this game looks like at all.

It's funny that when a guy was arrested, he just silently lays on the ground and doesn't instead say... scream out to his other buddies in the compound that there's a cop.

Gameplay looks fine to me, the story looks like it could be fairly interesting.

"This game is all about choice. You can distract this guy and kill him from behind with your hands, OR wait 5 seconds and shoot him during the fight that's going to break out either way! The choice is YOURS!"

It just hit me. This is Far Cry 3, via Visceral Games.

Dude doesn't even look white. Set aside your SJW badge and just watch the trailer past the first 30 seconds.

Hopefully all or most of the encounters in the game let you pick stealth or full on gunplay.

Looks okay. Looks like a shooter campaign though.

Putting a badge and taser into Battlefield 4 doesn't really change much.

Basically I wish visceral would have been given the chance to build this concept from the ground up.

I have no idea what I think about this game so far. Though I will say I'm surprised it's only Alpha footage this far in. Hrm.

Looks interesting. I still haven't beat BF4 single player yet though. The campaign reset on me half a dozen times so I gave up trying to play it.

To be fair, the audio seemed to be kind of rough in some parts, even for a trailer. For instance i only got Right Side Audio at the start.

But if the game gets less bio shock/deadspace later in the game, then i might be in. But i did like the joke about the nuke, nice MW joke.

So it looks like you will be playing the white dude again, with your trusty black wise cracking, but not quite as heroic sidekick by your side... or rather somewhere behind, while good ol cookie cutter McClane leads.

I don't understand who this game is supposed to be for or who wants this. Know what I would rather have? Resources still fixing the issues with BF4. They definitely should have made a bigger deal about this rather than the multiplayer though.

The campaign looks more interesting than BF4 at least.

Anyone else has an audio problem? Dialogue is really muffled and balance leans heavily to the right side.
