Here's an In-Depth, Behind the Scenes Look at Dishonored

This game looks meh to be honest. More fallout/bioshock to me, I feel hype is convoluting a lot of minds and it wont end up being as good as people think considering the promises it has as a new IP and such.

No, it's a great thing.

Dark Messiah had some of the most satisfying first person combat. The game played quite differently when it came to melee/ranged, which made for good replayability despite it being pretty much linear. Stealth was a weak spot of the game, which I hope this one handles better.

I never got around to playing Arx Fatalis, I should give it a go.

So you compare it to games that have nothing similar to them gameplay and aesthetic-wise except that they're in first-person?

Dudes. Most anticipated game of the year. Where is the hype for this game?

Just looking at this I wonder which point of development some of the in-game stuff is from because some of it looks like it was earlier and some of it looks like it was -a lot- more polished. Looks like it could go either way. Seems interesting for sure but don't know if I'd drop $60 on it right outt'a the gate.

No other games where you play a supernatural assassin? LMAO! Can name a couple off the top of my head - Assassin's Creed, Witcher, probably lots more. I'm still on the fence about this one. It could be an awesome BioShock-style game, or it could be just a repetitive snore fest. I think I'll wait for it to come out on sale.

He says first person supernatural assasin, so I think that counts out the two you mention. In any case its such a silly video-game dev kind of thing to say its almost meaningless. Like saying 'our game is the only underworld themed first person kart-racing RPG.' Great.
