He says first person supernatural assasin, so I think that counts out the two you mention. In any case its such a silly video-game dev kind of thing to say its almost meaningless. Like saying 'our game is the only underworld themed first person kart-racing RPG.' Great.

Just looking at this I wonder which point of development some of the in-game stuff is from because some of it looks like it was earlier and some of it looks like it was -a lot- more polished. Looks like it could go either way. Seems interesting for sure but don't know if I'd drop $60 on it right outt'a the gate.

So you compare it to games that have nothing similar to them gameplay and aesthetic-wise except that they're in first-person?

No, it's a great thing.

Dark Messiah had some of the most satisfying first person combat. The game played quite differently when it came to melee/ranged, which made for good replayability despite it being pretty much linear. Stealth was a weak spot of the game, which I hope this one handles better.

I never got around to playing Arx Fatalis, I should give it a go.

This game looks meh to be honest. More fallout/bioshock to me, I feel hype is convoluting a lot of minds and it wont end up being as good as people think considering the promises it has as a new IP and such.

@divakchopra: It feels? I definitely get a deus ex/bioshock vibe. But if you felt it, can't be wrong I'm sure.

I like how they end on "Or you can kill no one in our game." They know their target audience are those that know Deus Ex is the best game ever.

Much much much after XCom, this is the second game I'm most looking forward to this year. Can't wait to dive into these bad boys!

I really want this to be good. I love the Thief-Shock design philosophy these guys have and just hope the final product is as enjoyable as all the previews make it seem.

I love that there's multiple ways to do a task and that they actually differ in the end. This game will be enjoyed

@HarlequinRiot: Well, the character movements seem real stiff and there's some uncanny valley with a real lack of animation/soul in the faces. Though this doesn't sound like the issue you're having. Can't speak to the gameplay.

Somehow this game looks very Bioshock-y to me. That is not a bad thing. Dishonored has been under my radar, but this could very well be a sleeper hit.

Maybe I am missing something, but that was the first I've seen anything about Dishonored and I'm not feeling the same excitement everyone else is.

So excited for this. The French make some damn fine games, and this looks right up my alley.

If everything in this game works this could be my Game of the Gen. Almost everything I love about gaming is in this. Pleasebegood

Revenge solves everything! I don't think the environment looks all that detailed.

Something about the visuals in this game feel weird to me. I don't know if it's the FOV or the size of the hands/weapon models on screen, but I feel really disoriented whenever I see gameplay.

This game is very ambitious, i hope it can deliver!

It's a pity that this comes out on the same day as XCOM, because that seems like a surer bet.

I'm not big on the first-person perspective in stealth games, but it seems to work here. I'm really looking forward to this one. It'll be nice to have a new IP to play.
