This looks really cool.

I mean putting "battle" in your video game title is right up there with "storm" as one of the more generic naming conventions ever.

That was totally what I thought this video was for until I played it.

Reminds me a lot of Brink. I'm still unsure what this game is... Also is there asymetric versus modes?

It looks fun. That being said, there are already (or going to be) numerous other options out there that do this same thing.

I feel too many companies have jumped on this "third/first person moba" like train and they are all running together to look the same.

I assume you mean Brink which I also feel this takes a lot from. Basically Borderlands/Brink?

And the Blizzard one, whatever it's called. It's like everyone's got their moba, card game, and TF2 clone.

It's all so confusing but probably because it's just as uninteresting to me. Gotta cover those bases though I guess.

2 years ago I was amazed at how slowly graphical fidelity was progressing.

Now I'm amazed at how quickly it's regressing.

Obnoxious characters, flimsy world-building that has all the makings of a SyFy Original (at least if it's the last habitable system in the universe, we shouldn't have to worry about too many sequels), a la mode low poly/simple texturing visual-style-on-a-budget, and yet more generic co-op shooting gameplay mechanics. Coupled with the negative experience I had of Borderlands, thiiink I'll pass.

Every single time I hear this mentioned, I think it's the Blizzard thing. With names like "Battleborn" and "Overwatch" though, how can you really blame me...

Now this is what I call a hobby grade shooter.

Is it just me or are every single one of these games EXACTLY the same generic thing? I mean, with a name like "Battleborn", it doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

Funniest thing about this comments section? So many people saying exactly the same thing as each other about how the game title sounds exactly like other game titles.

That would suggest a consensus amongst the opinions of those posting in the comments section... Game titles sounding exactly the same is not consensus, it's boring generic uninspiring and dull...

@rtoast: I'd rather not have to go back to direct modem co-op, but I do agree with the similar experience to being stuck in a trash compactor.

I come from the quake and doom days, and half life and on were essentially the downfall of amazing online play for shooters. I'm sorry, can't compare TF 2 to QWTF, in any universe, you can try for a hundred hours and the original players of quake world team fortress will smirk at you and say "You missed out on the best days of gaming, online gaming at its finest". Whatever, the point is borderlands = bad, aliens = bad, duke nukem = bad bad bad I waited 13 or 14 or 15 years for this??? Everything gearbox touches turns to poison! I would love to see them succeed, I thought that opposing forces was great even though I did not like half life I appreciated Oh wow they made TONY HAWK PRO SKATER 3? Congratulations, ONE good accomplishment. The company does not know what the players want, and it is whatever, think about the lies we have been subjected to, yet we eat this alive.

Where is my Quake 5 ARENA?

Looks about what I expected, complete and total shit. Overwatch is all I want out of this 'genre', this game doesn't appear to come close, apart form having more confirmed characters at launch, and that shows nothing. Especially if they are all are boring as I've seen the ones so far

I feel the time of GearBox making good games is definitely at a close, and has been for a while.

The voice actor is overdoing it. Verry annoying. The artstyle seems off, don't know what it is. I don't like it.

Ehh this looks alright. Will definitely check it out with my wife.

Tiny Tina with 4 demonic arms and dark magic sounds good in theory.

At close quarters it turns into an incomprehensible mess, and the weapon models are so big you just about need a second screen for them.

Something about the visual style is making my eyes hurt really badly. I never had any issues like this with borderlands. I actually stopped watching this demo just because I can tell I won't be able to play this game unless I force myself to get used to it by dealing with the pain for awhile.

Just watching this trailer I felt my eyes straining horribly anytime the camera panned or moved quickly, and anytime something that took up a majority of the screen moved quickly (ex: melee fighting or being in a close range gun fight against a larger character) I suddenly had to really focus to parse out what was happening on screen. It just feels like a chaotic assortment of bright colors and my eyes are trying to make sense of it.

Not sure if anyone else is having this problem as well...it's weird because I've played plenty of cartoony games, but this one is just really overboard for me.

This kind of game seems like it'd be fun in theory. I like first person shooters and I like moba style games. I think I'll just wait to try overwatch though. I've heard good things from people who got to play that game and watching those trailers don't make me want to avert my eyes from the screen.

This is the most visually confusing game i have seen in years.

This Faux-John Cleese VO makes this video almost unwatchable... Or... unlistenable would be more appropriate, I suppose.

This looks like exactly what Destiny became, except they're being up front about the fact that the pve missions are isolated arena wave instances rather than a single player "campaign." I guess between this, destiny, and overwatch, this is the new fps trend for 2016. Everybody want to get some of dat moba money.
