I dont get it.

Nightmare Before Christmas is the only property in that whole mess that I would care to play, i am not a fan of the Pixar stuff or Pirates; the movies were okay to watch, but i never fell for the franchises.

I love Disney & so do my kids, but no way am I shelling out any money for this. It looks interesting & fun, but chances are they'll never know this exists & that's a good thing so I really won't have to buy any of it!

The sheer amount of money that is going to be thrown at Disney the second kids (large and small) get to bring Buzz Lightyear and Woody to life is going to be staggering. Money making game of the year...Done

I could see my minecraft-loving little brother loving this game.

What an awful fucking song though, holy shit.

Weird. No Disney characters in this teaser. Mainly their other properties like Pixar, Pirates, and Nightmare before Christmas. 
 
I mean, this is still awesome and I suspect they will have them but what a weird world where that isnt the first thing they show. 
 
Anyway, I was saying this somewhere on the internet before (maybe polygon)- this has really interesting potential if the game is any good. I might even get a weird collection of these and then wonder what the hell is wrong with me.

Disney, Star Wars, Marvel Comics, Pixar, and The Muppets can all easily feed into this (including charlie the lonely cougar and the computer who wore tennis shoes) if Disney wants.

If they want to be sick about it they might even have a 'Touchstone' section for adults.

Look for Warner Brothers to try this next.

Then Nickelodian.

Then Nintendo.

(Cartoon Network already sort of did it in two separate pieceswith an MMO and toy lines, but I'm sure that the rest of the Turner/Time/ Warner Bro.s empire would want in on it too)

I'll be buying figurines even if the game is crap.

I'll be dead broke if the game is good.

I'll be straight-up homeless clutching my figurines to my filthy chest in my cardboard house if Nintendo does this with Pokemon.

That was a surprising amount of focus on The Incredibles (though it might be their best movie ever) considering they haven't been pumping out sequels for that one and the movie is eight years old. If they're aiming young I'd have expected 10x as much Cars. Lightning McQueen all over the place, just like in my nephew's room.

No parents would either, much like with the idea of a Pokemon MMO, there are things that seem like obvious money machines that Nintendo stays away from.

Incredible amount of potential. They own so many fucking licenses at this point they have near infinite content.

Though if all they're going for is "Disney Skylanders" then they've already wasted that potential.

They should have called this Pixar Infinity feat. Pirates and Tim Burton. I get that more characters will be revealed but their focus with this trailer was really oddly specific. You'd expect some Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Pinocchio, etc.

FYI - this trailer is using the same song as the Trackmania 2 PAX trailer (link). That Trackmania 2 trailer is also one of the best trailers I have ever seen for a game - the song works perfectly with it (albeit a remixed version).

Let it be known that Disney looked to Trackmania for inspiration! :)

That looks really fun. Never got into Skylanders because I could care less about the franchise, but make it Disney and I'm sold.
