Final Fantasy has hurt Jrpgs so badly other companies are turning their franchises into fighting games.

First off, Persona has nothing to do with those other Japanese titles so their cases are way different. Seriously, I think it's crazy/silly/stupid that people would even think that P4U and P4G wouldn't be released in North America. Come on, it should be obvious by now.

I was being perhaps being overly hyperbolic (and perhaps, silly), but they still there's a (small) chance it may not come out over here. I'd imagine that the developers of a lot of traditional RPG games are questioning the profitability of bringing their products over to the west due to perceived lack of interest in them. It's been a long time since the release of Persona 4, both in years and the evolution of the role-playing games. Just look at Xenoblade Chronicles.

That, and I'm in the UK, so it might be a whole different story for us. We're only just about getting Catherine in March, so who knows. Then again, since the Vita will be region free anyway, so there's no stopping anyone playing it in Japanese anyways.

@biggiedubs: Innocent Sin came out very recently on PSP, so yeah, we did get both halves of Persona 2. Also, you know nothing about how well P4 sold in the States (best-selling SMT game ever) if you're saying that we might not get P4G.

@vinsanityv22: Sony has even less incentive than ATLUS to see P4 on any platform besides the Vita. In fact, there's a good chance they threw some money in Index's direction to keep P4 there.

And if they weren't, and they were willing to put P4 on PSN-- they'd have to arrange that deal with Atlus anyway/

That was not his VA's usual voice. The announcer was pissing on Kanji(and the others), and the characters responded.

It is amazing to me that people think its somehow possible that Kanji was voiced like that, given how he's characterized in the game.

This was much weirder than I was expecting. This trailer had rather a different tone than that of Persona 4.

Dear Sony; put up Persona 4 as a PS2 Classic. I'm tired of these games being on hardware that sucks - no offense PS2, you were great. But now you destroy eyes. And since Atlus won't bust their a**es to make an HD PS3 RPG, it's up to Sony to up-res a great game.

At first I was like, huh?

36 seconds in is when I realized: Oh shit, that's right, they're making a fighting game.

Something tells me this isn't getting a release outside of Japan.

She is my favorite too ^^ I always go for the school council president type in Japanese games. Probably because they are the opposite of the uber kawaii girls so prominent in Japanese games and anime.
