This excites me.

After seeing the R3 QL I was surprised to see how bad the lighting was in this.

Looks kind of flat and lifeless. One thing that developers have been subtely removing from console versions is character shadows. Makes things seem that much more fake.

Looks alright. I think with the somewhat underwhelming looks of this version compared to the others, and the fact that it's coming on two discs anyway, it seems like the Ps3 version is definitely going to be the version to get. (And considering my green name, this is a tough realization..)

EDIT: Still looks good on 360, though. But come on, slow-mo? That was bad in Call of Duty, just doesn't fit this...

Not a very good representation of actual gameplay visuals; single player scripted scenes at night, QTEs, and cutscenes. The low res textures aren't as apparent as a result.

If your expectations were reasonable: i.e. a slightly better looking BF:BC2, then you won't be disappointed.

It looks fine no PC graphics but oh well.

Best in class lighting on consoles too - CONFIRMED.

I'll probably get the 360 version until I can upgrade my computer early next year. Looks about 100x better than cod.

I'd say the 24player cap is a far bigger crutch than improved visuals. I just don't see how it's a proper sequel to BF2 on consoles with that many players. The maps will have to be smaller too, to compensate. 64players + Large maps is what made BF2 unique and successful. This just seems to be another MOH/COD experience on consoles. Or just BF:BC3 in all but name.

But whatever, i'm just nit picking. I might pick this up it depends on how quickly i tire of Gears of War 3 MP, this game is obviously going to have some legs so i would still pick it up next summer if i here good things about it.

Considering that I'm definitely not getting the PC version (because fuck Origin), I probably shouldn't have watched the PC trailer before this one. Huh. Now I'm totally bummed out.

It definitely doesn't look as impressive as on the PC, but then again I won't have to spend $1500. Not to mention that I stop noticing the graphical quality in games after 10 minutes anyway. But I've no doubt that that sound work will give me chills no matter how many times I hear it...

Gamersyde has the trailer in a representative form for download. The game will pretty much look exactly like in this file. Gamersyde usually has the native trailer files for download. Awesome deal when I really care about a game. The PC trailers running in 60 FPS... pure bliss.

I've heard that it's actually your buddy behind you that shoots him from behind and your gun simply goes off because you fall.

That was far more impressive on the PC. On the 360, it looks like a better lit Modern Warfare.

Look @ 1:12. He gets knocked down, but still manages to shoot the guy in the door. But there, look more closely, you can see that when he fires, the gun barren is pointing way off to the right of the enemy.

What´s up with them lens flares and crushing electronic sounds? I was hopping for a Transformer to pop-out , Looks fun but Im not into miliary shooters I might play this on a friend´s PC , I heard that version is okay.

I feel kind of silly because this is probably the version I'll end up getting, even though I have a PC that should be capable of running it at full settings quite easily. But my friends are all getting it on console, so them's the breaks I guess

Man, they sure want you to 'follow' a whole lot. Between this and Modern Warfare 3, no wonder I don't give a shit about modern military shooters. I'm more interested in doing more than 'following' and having an occasional cool moment I might be able to participate it.
