Meh, I feel pretty cyber-apathetic towards this game.

I hope this turns out well. Since the initial E3 showing, everything I've seen has seemed more and more disappointing.

I don't know about that game. Even the E3 reveal wasn't that exciting to me.

I'll join the club as a third. Not sure why, either, because the genre is definetly up my alley. Maybe it's the fact that I tried to get into Assassin's Creed and played both 2 and 4 a good bunch, but ultimately just grew bored with them. Now I guess this isn't (?) just AC set in modern times, but I think something keeps telling me that in the back of my head. Gonna hold-out for reviews and a QL, me thinks.

All the take-my-ball-and-go-home hate for this game because it had the audacity to (a) promote itself and (b) delay its release until ready is so hilariously juvenile. We get it, you don't care about the game. You've made a point of telling us on every single post about it.

As a PC owner I can't help but think these consoles are keeping us back.

This would be an awesome game to utilise tech both graphically and productively/structurally.

I just watched a stream of the PS4 version and it looks like your typical open world game with a hacker gimmick. Maybe these games just aren't for me anymore but I no longer care about all those Mayham missions and the dicking around part. The mission design and the story always seems to suffer because of what open world games are expected to do (like have a bunch of shit that's just there cause but none of it is really fun). My hopes for this genre lie with you Witcher 3.

@bbk: It feels like this is happening in every comment section for every game now. Everyone dislikes everything and they can't wait to tell you about it, it seems.

I still care. I doubt it'll set the world on fire, but I like open world games and third person shooters, and it'll probably be a good one of those at least.

What's with people proclaiming how much they don't care about Watch Dogs and how its probably going to suck any way. I wasn't expecting it to match the hype of the original E3 trailer but I hope the game ends up being good. Ubisoft makes decent open world games (though they have their issues). How about we stop rooting for games to fail.

You people can keep harping on it all you like, I think it's looking alright. Hell, I just want another open world game to play on my PS4.

Seeing so many people turn on this game is disheartening. I'm still excited, and whether or not this game turns out to be what we thought it was I'm still going to play it... I have to.

I'm so excited for this game that I'm basically a cluster of pure energy waiting to become a new baby star.

I think it should be made abundantly clear that people are gagging on being force-fed another franchise Ubisoft has so annointed to be a hit series before the first game has come out. Plus leading up to release they repeatedly misled, obfuscated, delayed, and arguably flat out lied if you want to be frank about what this game represented.

I do feel a bit of pity for the people who actually used this game as a big reason to jump on next gen consoles, for a game that isn't drastically better on XB1 or PS4 than it will be on WiiU. Still, don't bank your hopes on Ubisoft's word, ever.

Ubisoft should absolutely pay the price for BSing people, and their marketers and execs should bear the blame if it tanks. Fat chance of that happening, though (the taking responsibility, not the tanking).

State of the art graphics are nice, but not necessary. See Sleeping Dogs and how much people love it. Thing is, visuals were the entire point this game was selling itself on. That means there's a bit problem with your marketing, Ubi, if you can't deliver on the one thing you based your hype on.

That's precisely the problem.

If it's a merely "decent" game than it's going to be an enormous letdown compared to the hype that's been spread and the millions in marketing spent on this game. This is allegedly supposed to be something exceptional.

Maybe it will be, but frankly I'm waiting until reviews and word of mouth, more importantly are in.

All apathy aside, this trailer was terrible: the one word quotes, "Awesome" and "Incredible", are completely unnecessary, distracting, and meaningless. It is incredible how bad this trailer is, I thought Watch Dogs was going to be awesome, but not anymore. Seriously, those graphics look bad, how can you not have a your gameplay footage running off the most beastly PC available? And IF it was running off a beastly PC, yikes...

This doesn't look like the next gen showcase I thought it would be, very disappointing, but I could be wrong.

For some reason most of this trailer looks super wooden. Just like, flat physics or something.

What a bunch of haters! I for one am very excited about this game and looking forward to running through the story. I could give less of a fudgecicle what the dudes here who feel the need to rise up and bash the game think.

The reason I'm not excited about Watch Dogs, and why I'll express it, is that the original concept, or supposed concept, was great. What became of it is just another video game. AAA are so afraid to take risks despite all the evidence that there may be an audience for games that aren't shooters or traditional shooters.

Skyrim, X-Com, The Sims, Dragon Age, and other million sellers that don't come to mind. Three of those are still about killing, but they're AAA with out being typical.

I'm certain this is how every juvenile DDOS'ing dweller sees himself.

That's why I avoided watching almost every trailer, teaser, interview, gameplay demonstration, etc. I don't need several hundred videos to tell me it's an open world game in Chicago with hacking. I was sold on the game long ago.

Dose anyone find the iorny in the whole Ubisoft, a game company who struggled, and still struggles with DRM on pc due to fear of 'pirates' and 'hackers' making assians creed about pirates and a game about hackers.

Like they dont understand a thing, and seriously think that there are pirates, and hackers. Maybe the higher ups just keep complaigning and this is just a joke by the 'lower' guys who actualy make the games. Or maybe they just think that hackers run around with magic cellphones and press two buttons and get free crap.

I'm excited for it because it's Ubisoft. Assassin's Creed and the Far Cry series have been some of the favorite franchises of last generation. They've proved to me time and time again that they make the kind of games I want to play and very much look forward to this one.

Yeah this is pretty strange. The more gameplay footage they put out the worse it looks. It's not complete dogshit, but it doesn't look so hot either.
