I'm one of those dummies whose brain has tricked itself into liking the Dynasty Warriors-esque/Musou games, so I'm WAAAAAAAY into this idea. Seems like it's a ways off though, since they don't even have a final name or logo for the game, but hey, add this onto the list of Wii U games I want to play.

If it wasn't Zelda I would say this is cool but wth Link is fighting a million dudes!? WOOOOOOOOOOOOWWW! EXTREMMMEEEE!(Tak Fuji) is what I would like to say, but this isn't 99 Nights, it's Zelda. That being said, this concept could actually be cool, as long as they just make this game more of a side story rather than a sequel.

@amafi: I think we're to the point that anything Nintendo does outside of their established formula it can be considered courageous and innovative. The last Nintendo/Koei cross-over was fantastic and really weird.. Cautiously looking forward to this as well.

I think the problem people are having is that they are making it specific to the Zelda/Link universe. They should just make it based on the Nintendo universe ala Smash Bros. People would probably not take the game so serious and instead anticipate a game that will just be nuts.

I, for one, don't see myself purchasing a Wii U for this game. If I did have a Wii U though, this would be a day one purchase.

I can't really see why you leap to being "in a bad way" because of something like this. Yes the Wii U is not selling well, but the 3ds is. I would also bet that Nintendo now makes money on each Wii U sold. If I am wrong then that is a much better reason to think they are in some real trouble. But most of all, it's one game. Probably not that big of an investment and is a rather safe concept (dynasty warriors). If that is true it actually makes some sense.

WELL... unlike all the other Dynasty Warrior games out there this has a chance of me giving it a try. It's neat to see Link fighting alongside other Hyrule soldiers in huge battles that we never get see in the main games. But really though this game just looks like it's turning the idea of those big battle challenges in Crossbow Training.into a real game.

Haha. This might actually be fun if the shorter list of playable characters (just Link maybe?) allows them to add way more variety, depth and moves than in the Dynasty series. There was always something satisfying about slashing through dozens of enemies at once in the Dynasty series, it's just the variety and depth of combat for each individual playable character among the dozens that was lacking.

Why does it look WORSE than a typical Dynasty Warriors games....isn't a WII U supposed to be a tad more powerful than a XB360? I get that what we see is alpha; but, come on, it looks pretty janky even for an alpha.

Mannn, just when I'm starting to think Nintendo is righting the ship. I do think they should just keep the name Hyrule Warriors: Title Not Final with that exact same title card.

Make the game look like a bootlegged hack/mod as much as humanly possible. Maybe even sell the disc inside a plain manilla envelope, with a black and white logo sticker on the outside.

@monkeyking1969: As someone that does software QA for a living, I can say that you're talking bullshit. I have seen alphas in truly horrendous states. Based on the short amount of footage in this trailer, it's actually looking pretty good.

I've always wanted a Zelda game with actual battles in it, as in a warzone. And although I've never realized it until now I've always wanted Link to wear a dapper blue scarf. So I guess I'm on board with this thing.
