You should put the "Spoiler" tag in the title. Anyway, I'm so looking forward to Gary Whitta's The Walking Dead Episode 4. By Gary Whitta. The writer.

@JamesJeux007: There is a huge SPOILER WARNING as soon as the video comes up. And the title is "How Players Reacted in TWD Ep 3". Anyone with a bit of common sense would think that spoilers would be ahead.

The last choice of the episode was poorly implemented, I think most people would've helped the guy but since the first option once you are given control is the girl, most people just pushed the button instantly not knowing that it was an actual choice that you had to make

The Walking Dead is my game of the year. I seriously can't see anything topping it. In a year where must have games are at a minimum, either through too many sequels, or over-used game mechanics, its simple character development, solid pacing and a genuinely goos story that makes this an experience to remember. The fact thats its episodic means I'm enjoying its bite-sized parts over a longer period.

Top show Telltale.

I find it interesting that the choice of weapon was pretty much even across the board.

@Nightriff: Yep, that exact situation happened to me.

@Landon: Well, maybe it's a video showing actual people who played the game and what they thought of it. Maybe some people won't see the warning at the beginning of the video because they scrolled down at the beginning to look at the comments. I know it's silly but people should know if there are spoilers BEFORE they click on the link and the video starts downloading.

I'm a web developer and I learned that you can never assume that the user is going to do the right thing (actually, you should always assume the opposite). It would just be a shame if that video spoils something for someone. I mean this game is pretty effin' great :'D

@Nightriff: Yep, same thing here. And from what you can see on the forums, it happened to everybody. It's a bummer :'(

The funny thing about the choice is that a lot of people picked whoever the cursor was on first, but the cursor wasn't on the same person every time.

@RecSpec: So it isn't even automatically on the same person? It changes? That makes it even worse. They should've gone to a FP view and go you have 2 seconds to push (for me) Square or Circle between the two. GO!!!

I fought Kenny but not intentionally. I was trying to talk him down and all of a sudden we were fighting.

I didn't even stumble upon the train weapons until after I searched the train station.

Also, fuck Lilly - she stays.

I was actually hoping I could get her killed later. Leaving her isn't much punishment for the crap she pulled.

I'm shocked at how many of you shot Duck. Batman can't kill Robin! I thought it was crucial that Kenny have real closure by putting his son out of his misery.

I shot the girl, abandoned Lilly (seriously, Carly was innocent and a potential lover! who freaking saved her?), talked down Kenny, and shot Duck.

@JamesJeux007: Let me give you a tip for Episode 4. Shot that guy. Also Use more Skill.

I took Lilly with me, because if I left her then I would be just as bad as her, and I'm not that kind of guy. But even making choices like that haven't really helped me out or gotten me killed. They have only gotten me different dialog so far, and at most, a different character surviving. So hopefully in Episode 4-5 they will really up the anti with survival choices. Especially considering it feels like you and clementine are going to have to go out on your own. That or in the end Clementine is going to be left by her self.

@GalacticPunt: Personally speaking I did the option to put duck down because I had a feeling that Kenny may have chickened out and let him turn.

Also i hope there is a chance to put a round in Billy's head. He's the worse character in the game, the crazy redneck leatherface family had more charm and character than Billy

If you saved Doug, she comes off a lot more sympathetic because it's less "shoot Carley straight in the fucking face" and more of a "oh god I was trying to shoot the guy who legitimately was stealing supplies but Doug is Secret Service apparently".

I didn't shot the girl, abandoned Lilly (Wish I could have shot her myself, I even told her my secret and she tried to use it against me and killed Carly for no reason!), I fought Kenny, and shot Duck.

@AlKusanagi: Seriously.

I don't get it. I know power in numbers and all that but how can you risk keeping someone around that's killing perfectly healthy people for insane reasons? Didn't even have to think about that decision.

As someone who saved Doug in Episode 1, I was very surprised by how different Carly's Episdoe 3 death was from Doug's. I left Lily behind, but felt bad about it. Interesting to see that she gets in the RV with you--I assumed that would be one of those faux-choices, where either you abandon her, or you agree to let her come but the group overrides you. Does she die later in Episode 3? Or if you saved her, will she be around for Episode 4?

@mrlogical: I'll try not to give any spoilers for those who want to try a second playthrough, but...

If you choose to let Lilly stay, by the end of Episode 3 she's no longer in the group.

Fuck Lilly! I cant believe it was pretty much an even split. That was probably the one choice so far, that I didn't even have to think about.

Feels like kind of a redundant vid. Obviously it's for people who've already played the episode, yet when you complete the episode it shows you a statistical breakdown of all these choices anyway. Not only that but I feel like these stats don't match up with what I saw when I completed the episode a couple of weeks back. I could have sworn it told me that a majority of people spared the girl at the beginning and also left Lilly behind.

I did the same thing, and saved the Omid at the end. He was hurt and the girl was not. Nice to see that they both get angry if you choose any of them :P

Anyone know if there are any changes to the story, if you push/ don't push Omid off the bridge at the end ?

I think i didn't push him because i was afraid he would get hurt, and Christa would blame me :)

Yeah so after pushing Omid off of the bridge, I then helped Christina get on the train first. I didn't choose her over him however. I chose her because I thought I'd have to help both and wanted to grab whomever was closest first. Making that a choice was bad enough, but will be really irritating if that comes back to bite me because that wasn't a clear choice. I wanted to help both of them, that seemed like a viable option at the time. If TellTale wanted that to be an actual story moment, they really should have portrayed that better.

Yeah, I though I was helping both Omid and Christy at the end too, so when she got mad that I grabbed her first I went back because I thought I had misunderstood the game logic somehow and then he got mad at me. Not the best implemented choice. I kind of get the sense that the two of them will be adversarial no matter what you do, since Christy was kind of butting in a bit with Clementine. That and I guess because everyone turns out a little nasty somehow in this series except poor Carly. Well, Doug and Mr. Food too.

I bought these yesterday and played them through. Very close to the old adventure games, and a real bargain at $5 apiece. There are some clunky moments with the controls. Yes, I'm an old-schooler who'd prefer inverted up/down controls, especially for the shooting portions. My natural instincts kick in when the action rises. Still, I've not had such an enjoyable time playing a tie-in game in quite some time. It really captures the essence of the books, and I've found myself wanting to start over and make different decisions, just to see how things play out.

Complete success in my mind. This type of episodic gaming is brilliant and ought to be done a hell of a lot more often.
