Just wanna say thanks for this feature Vinny. It's really interesting seeing how things work behind the cameras. I never actually knew how complex video production could be until I saw some of the behind the scenes type videos you all have done in the past. These things are really awesome though and hope you all keep doing them.

@loktarogar: Sorry if this has already been answered. But Youtube only support 60fps/Hz videos when the video is being played at 1080p. If you right-click the video and select "stat for nerds" or whatever the equivalent is in your language, then you can see the actual resolution, so when you are not using the fullscreen-option, you are in fact not watching it at 1080p, maybe 1600*900p or whatever, depends on your screen/monitor and then as you mentioned the video is indeed being played at 30fps/Hz. So you where correct. Watching it in HTML 5 HD on the Giantbomb video player however shows 60Hz no matter what. :)

I concur the sentiment of more videos like this. Would love a more technical one. The 60fps looks glorious, GIVE ME MORE INFORMATION per SECOND YES!

As someone who is constantly looking for ways to improve his streaming capabilities (particularly when Extra Life rolls around), I find great value in understanding the specifics of performing this kind of setup.

This is the best stuff. We want another!

I love Vinchenzo, but I don't envy his current position. He's got a budget and is in charge of piecing this equipment together. Sure it's fun to play with new toys, but making the purchasing choices and setting it all up hoping it all works and has all the features you need has got to be really stressful. He's recording that video at 7pm and posting at 3am, geez. You can hear the stress/fatigue in his voice.

I stress out trying to pick a flavor of frapuccino let alone sitting in front of amazon or musician'sfriend with the corporate credit card in my hand.

Another thing is that they inherited that studio and have to make it work. There already had been many design choices made before he even got there and there's a shamble of odd furniture here and there. I hope Vinny and Alex think about set design a little or get the okay to toss some of that shit out and declutter a bit.

That said, I hope it comes together okay. I'm a west coaster and believe in GB:E. It's going to all come together and be awesome in the end!

30:40, I got MASSIVE Deadly Premonition flashbacks...

For the rest of my life, I'm going to be convinced Vinny's actual voice is the one he was using from 22:20 to 23:20, and this has all been an elaborate put-on for /years/.

Vinny and Alex, I am so excited for the Giant Bomb East (GBNY) studio to be up and running. For a while there I was getting a little worried. I knew it would take time to set up a studio. And sure, you were putting out content here and there, testing out stuff. But I was worried why it was taking so long. You've often said, "what do I know? I'm an ignorant fool..." (or something along those lines) about things you don't understand. And right now I'm saying those words. What do I know about setting up a brand new studio across the country? What do I know about the technical challenges and hurdles you've had to overcome setting up a new studio? Nothing at all! I just want to let you know that I'm happy to see things are moving along nicely, and that I am here to support you. If the day ever comes when GBNY gets new employees, I sure hope they're as awesome as the current ones. If possible, I hope you bring in guests regularly too!

What a great birthday present! Anyway, I bet it's maddening to have to essentially future proof the studio. Having a studio with a good control room for future potential hires, doing higher quality video that everyone will use someday, etc.

Sounds tough but I wouldn't trust anyone but Vinny to do it.
