I Can't Decide if This Saints Row 4 Video Is Great or Terrible

It's clearly obvious that this trailer was 'Great'. Any who says otherwise clearly has no sense of humor.

Right? I actually think stuff like the purple dildo bat were the least funny things in The Third because that shit is so obvious and lazy. A dude in a nice trench coat, turtleneck, dress shoes, and gloves giving people the bulldog on the street, now that's hilarious.

All this trailer tells me is that they have no custom animations for cutscenes, so it's all going to be the regular gameplay stuff like in SR3. Shame, but the story wasn't really the point anyway.

edit I know this isn't an actual cutscene, but that's the point. If they had more to work with, they wouldn't be shy to flaunt it like a batdildo up in your genki mask.

Great. As good as gta v looks saints row has always had better vehicle handling, shooting, combat and sidemissions. More importantly its always been the more fun game of the two.

Actually I'm more worried that it'll be great, and as funny as Saint's Row 3, but people on the internet will hate on it for no reason, because that's how the internet is. "The first one was better hur hur." I hope it doesn't end up that way though.

Maybe. I mean what I liked about Saints Row the Third wasn't the crazy. It was the nonchalance with which everyone reacted to the crazy. This just looks like all out crazy with no nonchalance. Which is just dumb.

It's like... everything I hate about the series in one trailer.

It's just depressing. That a (theoretically) grown man would even consider this amusing in anyway, let alone great, is the reason why games are the way they are today.

SR3 was weird and wacky and it looks like they are doubling down on that for this one. Problem is, we already knew that from all the other trailers they have put out so far. Maybe focus on the non-wierd-and-wacky stuff in the game for a few trailers.

Nope. Loved the last two, but now the series is like that one guy at the party who was told he was hilarious when drunk, and took that to mean necking a bottle of vodka was a good idea.

I agree with you. Enjoyed SR3 but I always thought SR2 had the best mix of craziness and "seriousness".
