Anyone going to preemptively complain about the more than likely Quick Look: EX?

No?

Good.

Posted by Wii60BigScreenGamer

can we PLEEEEEAAAASE get some lighting for the people with their backs to the windows so we're not just watching their silhouettes speak into jeff's iPhone??? PLEASE?? and, um.... if you have time, maybe shoot a new intro to the I <3 mondays vidjas like we used to get before you moved into the gamespot offices? i miss that and the funny looping shit you'd put on the green screen behind Ryan... but if all that's too much effort, just some lighting would be appreciated!

Jeff, as someone who works IT. DAMN YOU!!!

So many mac issues on the giantbomb crew ... Patricks air died and jeffs not booting right...

Posted by ATTILAtheFUN

I like this new format a lot better, but can you guys lock the exposure on the camera or shoot the other direction? I would like to see more than just the silhouette of ryan or wait for the camera to adjust for switching over to brad. Not a big deal, just for some reason that seem to be all i can pay attention to as the camera swings back and forth and i am waiting a few seconds before i can see anything...

Leave Never Dead until the time is right? What does that mean...

The way we could only see the top of vinny's head reminded me of Wilson Wilson, Jr. from Home Improvement.

All this MacBook calamity convinced me to properly get my Time Machine on this weekend.

Either Brad's girlfriend wants a beefy brad or Brads lying... how dare he

TNT is going to be awesome!

Some good Journey wallpaper there, thanks Brad. I'm really glad Sony's finally got some feature similar to summer of arcade; all of these quirky games look interesting.

A week as slow as this should be used to produce more tang videos as opposed to scrounging for content. Just saying.

The video is even better if you imagine a nuclear blast has occurred around 11:50 to 11:55 and they just didn't notice.

I had that stupid dragon theme for a while.

I hope La Mulana gets a good Quick Look. That game is an insane, monumental thing-- but it could easily get short shrift from a 20-minute play session because that depth and madness isn't immediately apparent. At all.

At least, it wasn't in the freeware version. So I'm extra interested to see how this remake goes.

La Mulana! That game's awesome but I can almost guarantee the quick look is going to go sixteen types of terrible. With everyone going for crazy hard free PC games turned downloadable titles in Spelunky, I hope La Mulana gets some attention. It's basically Spelunky turned in to a huge metroidvania game with actual puzzles.

It's also incredibly difficult and the original version could be downright impenetrable, with no designs on making it easy to find out what to do beyond explore and try not to die. So I don't have high hopes for coverage turning out well.

ETA: It also has bitching awesome music, though I like the original 8-bit tunes more than the remakes.

The old basement office had so much more character.

Oh man I want to see that preview build of Tony Hawk 3 for PS1 so bad.

Edited by l3illyl3ob

La-Mulana is a great game, so I hope you guys play it.

In case Ryan is reading these comments, a few tips are probably in order. First: Install to a writable folder or run as administrator, the game tries to save to the install directory which can cause issues. Second: Go left at the start to find the healing spring, go right to find the entrance to the ruins. Third: Once in the ruins, find the Holy Grail ASAP, and scan everything. The Glyph Reader is also of extreme importance. Also, scan all the skeletons, they sometimes give useful hints. For finding the grail, find a skeleton that talks about the ruins connecting in unusual ways.

Oh yeah, there's also this really bizarre beginner's guide video the dev's made... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtAFGes3Xdo&feature=player_embedded

Yeah I miss the old ones. These ones are too long and are not informative.

Yes agreed with you guys.

I love these ILM because it's them just talking about what they might or might not do, not some quick and boring green screen bullshit.

Posted by Goblin

I played THPS4 on PSX once. Never again. The Tony Hawks have always been C-V-B-Space to me.

I'm a bit bummed about Dyad going EX and the immediate lack of Neverdead (though an image of Deadly Premonition stuck between couch cushions comes to mind^^), but it seems like an otherwise very promising week.

Posted by Pop

you know since they moved to the new offices I've noticed a lack of zojirushi advertisement :P

Lots of Brad QL's this week = sounds like an awesome week!

What's that guy in the other building (@ around 11:00) doing?  He scoping out the place, or what?

Posted by Grimhild

When they said "Wipeout 3" I thought they meant "Wip3out 3."

Posted by Sharpshooter

Watching this I realized you guys actually schedule meetings and plan out the week. I was living in this fantasy that everything just happened spontaneously and on the fly.

Damn you all for shattering my naive delusional.

Holy shit, it's like a younger, blond, less confident version of Ryan. And it actually is!

Man, this is almost uncomfortable to watch.
