Oh hell yes, I've been waiting a decade for the return of sim/rpg games like this.

I too really enjoyed Gangsters, and this seems to be very similar.

This looks like it could be pretty cool. I will have to keep an eye on this one.

Could potentially be interesting. I really hope it has a little more depth than Tropic, which I liked, but always left me a little unsatisfied..

@bwmcmaste: Its also the name of the last book in Mario Puzo's mafia trilogy. Haven't read it. Heard its not very good.

Yeah, it was an unusual choice, considering that the game is supposed to take place in Atlantic City. Omerta, as I understand it, was an oath of silence which typically occurred between La Cosa Nostra in New York, whereas Atlantic City was more of a straight prohibition-dodging racket.

Still, really excited about this game. If it weren't for suckers like me, Kalypso probably would have gone under years ago.

Why oh why, do they release a trailer where the animation obviously and completely janks out? We all know it's not a technical limitation anymore, it's just really poor polish not to make those things look right. Especially so in presentation material like this.

Looks a lot like the old Maffia game . Not the first person one ,but the sim one . Maybe by an obscure developer if i recall right . Yeah , Gangsters , thats what it was !

Maybe they should have omitted "Omerta" from the title. Seems like something that was just called City of Gangsters would probably sell more.

JA2 is still my favourite game of all times ("Eliott, you idiot!"). I really hope this game will be good

Reminds me of Don mode in Godfather II. That game looked cool and had potential - too bad they had to go and make it a Godfather game.

Nice, I love games like this. Between this and X-COM, it seems like a good year for strategy RPGs.

This reminds me of a Gamestorm game.. Called something crime. It was one of the first online RTS games I ever played. Ofcourse, can't talk about Gamestorm without mentioning Starship Troopers Online and Godzilla online! Two surprisingly awesome games. I wish you could play Gamestorm games still... I miss that place!

this looked turn based like the the original fallouts!? sign me up if it plays so!

As someone with fonder memories of Gangsters than it probably deserves, I'm irrationally excited about this game.

I'm interested. I'd be happy to see more when it gets close to release.

WOW! Tripico 5!!!! No... oh no wonder the DLC for Tropico 4 is missing.

Gangland is still the best RTS criminal game there is.

Its is like Gangsters 1 and 2 for the PC *looks to his right at Gangsters 2* and like construction on the ps1? Except not about Construction business with Gangsters elements? Both were haaaard maybe this would be easier?

Definitely Looks like the Tropico 3 game engine. I am willing to try something new from Haemimont since I enjoyed Tropico 3.

For some reason I find "Level 1 Grifter" to be hilarious

Next time buy a gun with a straight barrel.

@crusader8463: endless space is pretty good, no story but a solid 4x game. I've got 129 hours played, so i must like it. The combat gets a bit tedious but have said they are gonna give you more control in a future update.

It's terrible, You cant even call it an alpha build its so broke. Tutorial is a joke, the game concepts are a jumble of mess. Check out gamespy's review for more detail. I preordered it based on liking kalypso games and the video's/screens made it look like an old pc game i loved called ascendancy. Its a crime they sold this to us.

Joy. Think I'm done buying these space 4x games. Last one I bought was Sword of the Stars 2 and that launched the same way.

I didn't realize until I watched this video how much I wanted an early 1900's turn based gangster strategy simulator.
