I've suddenly noticed that most of these enemies carry their rifles with bayonets pointing upwards.

Air assassinations seem like a really bad idea for this time period.

as an italian, hurts me to admit that connor will probably be a more awesome character than ezio was. still, not really convinced by the naval fights

Holy. Shit. I gotta go pre-order this. And I never pre-order ANYTHING. Ever. I think the big addition that they're throwing around, the naval combat, is going to be the worst part of the game. What I saw at E3 looked pretty terribad, with a Fourth Rate Ship of the Line getting blown up in 2 volleys, but what I saw here actually gets me wanting it.

why are there 3 developers for 3 different games today, is the PR like "on Thursday websites have the optimal amount of visitors that we require so we should put out videos of our games" or is Alex just on a uploading rampage?

This game as too much P.R., I am already getting burned-out on it and it’s not even out.

I hope they at least try to give an explanation for why his enemies don't just shoot Connor.

This looks like the best Assassin's creed yet, although I wish that "ninja tank with a wolverine in it" was literal.

No really guys, he's fighting the Templars, there are just all these squishy redcoat fodder in the way.

I get this is a tonal shift from the European setting but it seems this couldn't be more America Fuck Yeah unless Washington had an eagle on one shoulder and the Colonial flag draped over the over.

Wow, if they took the same amount of dev time for the other AC games, imagine how better they could have been, and what AC III would have been.

This game looks top notch, and the combat seems sooooo satisfying.

Yeah, that does make me nervous for the final product, fingers crossed it's just to build up interest in the American market?

I think the founding fathers are incredible (especially Washington), but if this game has a straight 'America Fuck Yeah' tone to it, it'll ignore the interesting quirks of the conflict, like how these relatively wealthy guys with egalitarian ideals wanted to create a republic while still owning slaves etc. Maybe I'm hoping for too much, but I'd love to see the game do that fascinating period of history justice by taking advantage of the varied motivations and interests behind the revolution. 'Nothing is real. Everything is permitted.' etc

They've been working on this game for 3 years, so I have no worries.

@Dad_Is_A_Zombie: absolutely, and you probably won't. one of the more interesting aspects of the game was how the series would introduce rich and intricate cultures, landscapes, architecture and essentially cut you loose. here it's essentially the origin of a country, an austere landscape with no interesting backdrop, save for except the more european looking towns (i.e. boston).

@CptBedlam: Well the guns of that period weren't very equipped for fast fluid fights. Combined with having a lengthy and complex reload time after every shot plus the fact they weren't very accurate to begin with and it's not hard to see them being somewhat useless in the broader scope of things.

Uhh yeah... that's my point. If they spent 3 years on the other games they would have been this good by now.

If only this series' combat wasn't so mind-numbingly easy.

Man, I did a pre-order on this game last month, and I am so happy that I did. This game looks awesome, and what's really exciting is that Connor looks to be a real bad-ass!

I've got one more month before I can get my reserved copy..

Italians killing Italians is probably okay. American guy slaughtering Brits and only Brits (or vice versa, of course) is probably not.

I'm not opposed to a game where a guy plays a pivotal role in a historical conflict, but if the countries involved are now allies, you shouldn't really rub their noses in the whole "we killed a bunch of your dudes" thing. These trailers are not really discouraging that impression.

Sure looks like their sidestepping the whole. Native American Genocide thing.

Pity. Seems like a lazy, offensive way to sidestep an otherwise interesting plot point of him overcoming hate of his own / torn allegiances. But I guess there was no portrayal of racism in the other settings, so why not "white wash" this as well.

Wouldn't have been as romantic.

This game looks so fucking sweet. I always look forward to the settings of the AC games more than the actual game.

As a Brit by nationality (born in Aus) I'm totally okay with fighting the British, but then maybe that's my pro-Australian republic side talking.
