Everything about that was totally rad except for Aquaman's missing beard.

In 2013 Aquaman likes to say "It's a trap." Because internet is slow down in Atlantis, and they're a little behind on their memes.

I hope their very last character reveal will be Hawkman. And he will be the ultimate villain behind everything since Ed Boon hates him so much.

@vitor: If you are at all interested in DC comics I HIGHLY recommend reading the prequel comics. It's its own little universe, so they can and have done things that are absolutely insane. They are pretty short, but only a buck a piece of you buy them digitally.

I have gotten more enjoyment out of these than any of the new 52 Justice League stuff.

Ever since the DC relaunch, they've REALLY gone out of their way to make Aquaman a bad ass...basically they've made him like Namor, but that's beside the point.

This is seriously the most excited I've gotten from one of these trailers yet though, I was getting really worried that Aquaman wouldn't be playable. I really hope that thing with the shark is his super and can be done in any stage because that would be the best kind of dumb.

I grew up reading Peter David's Aquaman, so I don't really understand people's hatred of/hilarity at Aquaman.

I mean, I understand where it comes from. But I certainly don't feel it.

Not officially announced as far as I know--though he has previously appeared in trailers. So he will be part of the story, at least.

@omdata: I'm basically in the same boat, except it's from growing up with the DCAU, which is why I've basically always loved everything DC.

@fifichiapet: He's part of the "Vote to Win" character tournament thing they're doing and as such is confirmed to be playable. At the end of the week there should be gameplay footage of him versus the Flash.

Sure why not, dude is a founding member of the JLA. He's King Arthur basically, has a superpowered technomagical army derived from the 1500 states of Atlantis, Cthulhu horrors, and Kaiju at his beck and call. Unless of course we are referencing the pernicious cultural effect of a crappy 70's Saturday morning cartoon.

It's quite funny how little pepole know about Aquaman

Cultural osmosis and wanting to hate/like the same thing everyone else does. Comics wouldn't be dying if the number of people that "know" all Aquaman can do is talk to fish actually read any comics. Who would have thought introducing kids to 70's cartoon characters would have such a devastating effect on a comic character.

Meh lame as always how about a skin from the Beard-ass Aquaman from the JLU cartoon

Been that way in the comics for most of his history (every character has a couple dark times). Most recently under Geoff Johns he's been pretty damn awesome.
