So I'm considering starting to read comics, you guys.

@gs_dan: Yeah, I'm considering starting to play video games.

I'm torn, I like superheroes, but I don't like fighting games.

This game's a lot more fun to watch than play. Nice trailer though.

I AM SOOOOO FUCKING PUMPED FOR THIS GAAAAAAME!!!!!!!!

@gs_dan: As someone who runs hot and cold on reading comics, the Injustice prequel thing is really interesting 12 issues in. If you have an iPad, I found it well worth the $.99 an issue and couldn't stop reading. The first two issues are fucking nuts.

@gs_dan: I read a shit ton of comics every month from a myriad of publishers. If you ever want any recommendations, let me know.

IT'S A TRAP!

Superheros...meh, fighting games...double meh.

I don't even know why I'm so excited for this! Yay!

EXTEND THE GAME TO IPHONE AND IPAD

Posted by Bakaneko

You DO have to love the Christian Bale cameo at the end with him plugging the iPad... Oh wait.

Why no PC release? bummer......

Play it like some people do with Starcraft (e.g. just play the campaign). NetherRealms has proven that they can make a great single player/story campaign around the fighting game mechanic.

checked out the demo and it feels kind of clunky. ridiculous hitstun on some moves as well so real simple infinites have been/will be popping up. that said it might end up being kind of cool.

It's weird, some parts of the trailer were running on a much higher frame rate. I'm guessing the gameplay side is running at 60 frames or something while the cutscenes aren't?

I wouldn't be surprised if it's a solid fighting game, but the DC roster is the epitome of lame. I'll wait for the inevitable Komplete edition, that includes all the DLC, for $30. No rush.

Not a huge fan of fighting games or superheroes, yet I somewhat enjoy both. I also really enjoyed the Mortal Kombat reboot... Perhaps?

In a lot of games cutscenes are 30fps, for the cinematic feel i guess.

Well I love the DC Universe. The comics are absolutely great, even the beginning story comic to this game. So to each his own. So glad you hang around message boards for things you don't like though. You hang around the Up with Communism and Womens Rights forums too?

@gs_dan: Read the Injustice prequel comic. At 1 space buck an issue, it's not a bad way to gear up for this game.

Yeah, I was thinking that too ... with the lack of competition I think they would do really well.

I love being a fanboy

I didn't like the demo. The style of fighting in this game is not for me.

Edited by sciential

Ed Boon let Hawkman in?

Edit: Nevermind. That was Hawkgirl.

After you extend the game to iPhone and iPad, log on to amcstorysync.com and begin your dual-screen experience.

People are getting punched!

@zevvion: same here, maybe it was because they didn't have the right characters for me but it didn't feel as "natural" as the MK fighting system.

I like superheroes and fighting, but I hate video games.

They should have called this the "Watch Green Arrow get his ass stomped" trailer. I swear, he got hit by a train, nailed with a back breaker, double axe handled by superman, tossed by a shoulder throw, and kicked/punched in the face who knows how many times.

But having the cutscene and gameplay footage next to each other in the trailer was a bit weird to watch. Just made it feel like the game's framerate is inconsistent.

I don't wanna extend anything to a iPhone or iPad

@adrian79: If you don't like either thing, then why are you even here? Comment on something you *do* like, mate.

Bangin! Gonna grab this off the PSN so maybe one day I can cloud stream it on the ps4. I would buy it on wii u, but that could just be hot garbage they haven't said or shown anything from that SKU.

Actually I am feeling the same way as dan, I know a lot about batman and that's about it. I am interested the Green Lantern and Superman, more specifically the Blackest Night and Red Son issues. I don't like collecting each individual issue, so I like to wait until they put all issues into one, did that with Spider-man Reign which is one of my favorite... and only comic I've actually read before.

@asmo917: @sammo21: @dgbruin08: @branthog: @mrhadouken: Thanks for the replies guys. I'm much the same as Branthog in that the biggest turn-off for me for comics (aside from cost) is the fact that they've been going for so long and I wouldn't know where to start with a lot of these series.

I've read stuff like Watchmen which was nice as that was a self-contained universe and had a start-middle-end structure within one sleeve.

The series I've been most interested in recently is Dredd, shit looks cash.

Edited by DGBruin08

@gs_dan: If you want something more that recently started, you can probably get into any of the New 52. Also, Marvel recently did a relaunch, so most of those titles will give you a clean start. I would suggest Nightwing, Batman, and Uncanny Avengers.

Edited by Asmo917

@dgbruin08: @gs_dan Seconded the New 52 recommendation. That's where I jumped back in a few months ago, including with NIghtwing and Batman. I fell off the wagon after the Court of Owls Batman ark, but am going to go back to the Death of the Family one. The Injustice prequel is also a good starting point since it's self contained. I also find myself killing way more time that I should on Comic Vine and Wikipedia when I go through my comics phases. It's a daunting hobby to jump into, but not impossible.

Especially when you consider everything you know will be rebooted in 2-3 years anyway.

Posted by DGBruin08

@asmo917: The Death of the Family arc was great, up until the end. I just felt like it left me wanting a different ending.
