Baddest man on the...oh just shut up already.

Edited by MindOST

I love the thumbnail image.

Jericho clearly gives no fucks about Mike Tyson.

1997 in your house!

Posted by MrToft

Other than popping up in The Hangover, is he even relevant anymore???

Posted by GreggD

What the capital fuck?

Posted by Gruff182

He did wrestling?

HA!

Was that Paul Heyman doing the voice of Micky from the Rocky movies? "YOU'RE A WRECKIN MACHINE!!!"

Yep. He was the special guest referee for Stone Cold and HBK at one of the WrestleManias years ago. He even got inducted into the WWE Hall Fame this year.

Posted by Patman99

They couldnt even give him his face tattoo in the game? YOU JUST LOST ONE PRE-ORDER, THQ.

Posted by langdonx

No money in the budget to render the tattoo on his face?

Posted by papercut

There is a lady with an APA shirt in the crowd. I'm more interested in that.

Posted by The_Reflection

Is it just me or did that sound like Paul Heyman as the voice over doing a bad mickey from rocky impression?

I'd say no

And I also ask, is boxing relevant anymore? Or wrestling?
Posted by TyCobb

He didn't have the tattoo when he wrestled. They modeled him from 1998. Notice how young he is and that he has hair.

Posted by Orange_Pork

@tourgen: The last Mayweather fight made $94,000,000 in PPV buys. So yeah, boxing's still around.

Posted by AbeBroHamLincon

in the game version what happened to the tatt over his eye lol quality knows no bounds for this game clearly.

Posted by EpicVandal

Face tattoo on the real guy in the ad... yet no face tattoo on the in game Mike? THQ maybe this should be more embarrassing to you than Saints Row the 3rd.

yup, just funny how so many people either don't remember this or just don't know.

Any time I see an article, video, etc. with a snarky title I know it's posted by Alex. Alex, step your title naming scheme game up.

One step closer to Chris Benoit being in WWE products again. Hey 15-25 year old middle class white boys with pet tarantulas, this is why girls dont want to partake in your gamer culture: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Tyson#Rape_conviction.2C_prison.2C_and_conversion

Posted by Napalm

Yeah, that doesn't look like him at all.

Posted by shadow961

They should really give his hair another go.

Posted by Soap

wait...what?

Posted by Paradigmer

EYEORN MIKE TYSON! *Vinny Mac voice

Posted by TechnicallyProficient

I think they should put Chris Brown in the game.

Posted by cmblasko

@The_Reflection: Sure sounded like it. You could definitely tell when he says murder/"moyda."

It would be really silly if they only model Tyson's 90s look and not his modern, likely more iconic visage.

I know what you mean. I was really thrown off when "Hopefully Hitman: Absolution Is Nothing Like This Trailer" turned out to be a Jeff venture.

its really sad how much WWE tries to relive its glory days. why does every games selling point have to be from the late 90's? cause that was the last time the WWE had anything worth buying.

I think this is 100% awesome.

They modeled him after what he looked like in WWE, since the game is based around that time.. Jesus christ.

Are you all this dumb? My gawd.

Is it 2010 again? Cause you're a little late on the hate-train with this shit.

I don't really fault him for not know this, but coming off so arrogant and ignorant about both subjects (SR3 comment) does make me laugh.

Boxing's PPV sales are at a record high. So yes, boxing is relevant.

I can't stop laughing at all the things wrong with this trailer.

Not sure what your point is exactly, did u also dislike the hangover films? I dont think Mike Tysons involvement in this game is the type of thing that puts girls off gamer culture. Thats like a girl not liking cinema due to Roman Polanski.

Also White? 15-25? Tarantulas? Where the fuck you getting this 'average gamer' from.

There is no emotocon to express how to take this.

1997 Me is FUCKING LOSING IT!!! 1997 me was also 13 and liked wrestling cause it wasn't total shit back then...

If they hadn't told me, I'd never have guessed that was supposed to be Mike Tyson.

I'm not sure what you're talking about, friend. Alex gives things snarky titles. This is a fact. I was mentioning that I was surprised that a video with an especially snarky title turned out to have been named by Jeff. Not everything is motivated by hate, friend Benny. Some things are merely observations.

Wrestlemania 28 broke a ton of PPV records this year. And WWE RAW is consistently one of the most watched shows on Monday nights. Look at twitter every monday night and you'll see trending topics related to WWE every single week. Its still insanely popular.

Posted by Twisted

Was just about to say that WM 28 got 1.2 million buys and each year it gets over a million. The big PPVs still do relatively well though maybe not as good as years before, but then the product over the past couple of years has been shit. However I think it has been getting better since last year. This year has been good so far apart from most of May and June.

And yeah, sounded like Paul Heyman doing that voice, and Vince McMahon saying 'It's time'. I also found it weird that it was just Tyson beating up Jericho for the whole ad.

Posted by Tuggah

I want a Paul Heyman game.

I really wish Martha Hart would stop the legal bullshit so Owen Hart could make it into one of these games.

Well, not this one, it looks horrible.

This.Listen just cause you don't find something interesting or watch something doesn't mean the whole world does.I could say UFC/MMA is irrelevant cause me and all my friends don't watch it, but that doesn't mean that nobody watches it.And yeah Manny Pacquiao is still ringing in the big bucks. But I do think boxing is in trouble after that Bradley fight.

That'd be like Mark David Chapman owning the rights to Lennon's music.

@MrToft:Once a legend always a legend I say.Just like Muhammad Ali will always be known as "The Greatest Of All time" (his nickname)Tyson will always be "Iron" and 'The Baddest Man On The Planet" even though he kind of forfeited that title it still relates to him.You could still bring up Tyson and Ali and people still go "Yeah" so yeah they are relevant. The day you hear "Who?" is the day they become irrelavant.

I think it was supposed to be a call back to the time when he was the special guest referee for a title match between Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels.

I would love it if they had an alternate costume of his current look though.
