Dudes got games

Posted by njean777

Jeff, I think it is time to throw some of that crap out.

Posted by KlUMZeE

I like how, at the end of the video, we get to see that Jeff owns Little Darlings strip club admissions board. It's sitting against the wall in the back. Little Darlings s one hell of a Las Vegas strip club; i wannna know how he got that.

Jeff get rid of some of the duplicate games on the 360/ps3/wii as well as the not so stellar gems like the ps3 game Haze, might help clear some room.

Posted by sado

At 8:59 you can see that Jeff owns a Shake Weight.

And I complain about storing my collection and it's just 1/10 of that.

Posted by HelliSkelli

I just want to go through all that stuff and shove money in your hands! PLEASE LET ME!

Posted by Brake

This is exactly why I'm getting rid of some of my collection already. I just came to the conclusion that I'm not gonna play most or any of my old games ever again. Also, just having a collection of games doesn't really have any inherent value for me.

AMIGAS

Vice City Rubik's Cube is sick.

Posted by LiquidSword

Jeff has a Little Darlings poster? That's awesome haha. I've lived in Vegas all my life and Little Darlings is the grimiest strip club in town, but it's the only one that allows under 21 year olds so I was there a few times a couple years ago for birthdays. Three or four times was enough to make me not set foot in a strip club ever again.

Good lord! That's a lot of games. Love it. Don't stop.

Welcome to the Nightmare.

If my job involved video games I would have this massive supply of back stock. I wonder if the GB guys get to write all of this stuff off on taxes. I would hope so.

Posted by paulunga

You could at least remove all the doubles from those shelves. I saw at least two copies of GoldenEye for Wii and two copies of some WWE game there despite the blurriness and shakiness.

Posted by Thoseposers

I don't see this as hoarding, it's history. How else is all this stuff gonna survive? People have even bigger collections of baseball cards and they're not hoarders, it just happens that video games take more space. And i second the motion of buying some duplicates :)

Big Big Live Show Live Live Again in Jeff's Garage. 8 hours showing Jeff's hard work on clearing stuff from garage.
"Nobody else, only he can clean this up. This summer! In Another Sick Day, Jeff Gerstmann has to clean up his garage. Nothing will stop him from doing that" - you can read it in Norio Wakamoto's voice.

I love that we've come to this.

Posted by spilledmilkfactory

Jesus Christ man, have a garage sale

Posted by mlarrabee

Yeah. You should probably send me one of those Amiga 500s. I had one as a kid, and now I can't find one anywhere.

Posted by Vexxan

Sweet Jebus, Jeff has EVERY game.

@PlasmaBeam44: Pretty much total perfection.

Posted by JackSukeru

Makes me want to go through some of my own crap and throw it away. While what I have up right now is pretty organized I did put away a few boxes of manga in the basement a while ago, maybe I should try to get rid of some of that.

As for games, I can't wait for a digital only future. I like having physical stuff, but I vastly prefer only having a modicum of stuff at a time. Having too much stuff just ties you down, I don't like it, so I do fairly harsh and efficient purges from time to time.

Posted by Greenshoes

I cant help but think that Mr. Gerstmann isn't wearing anything except his shoes.

Posted by Father_Vice

String along some poor OCD chick to be your girlfriend and lock her in there. Voila!

That'll be $100 please.

Posted by Pyccko

Ahahaha, I have a limited edition copy of Hyperdimension Neptunia I never played too. Hhhh. Video games.

Oh, I replied to the wrong dude, who posted this as if it was his???...?

Anyway, this is utter perfection. You should be proud. That is all.

they don't buy most of it. except of course for the retro stuff and import stuff but most current games/hardware gets send to them. the occasional new console probably doesn't weigh as heavy on the budget as if you were buying ALL that stuff with your own money.

the thing I loved most in this video was the random Alf sitting between those boxes. totally expected him to start talking!

Posted by WalkerTR77

Can't believe his roommate walked in wearing a gimp suit halfway through. That was unexpected and upsetting.

Everyone of us would watch this. And I'm not complaining.

I keep my games in boxes too.

Never throw anything way, video game related. NEVER.

put shelves in the middle of the room too, like a tiny grocery store, but with games. or like a tiny gamestore. with games.

haha love that idea. Use the floorspace for display! Watching this has made me feel better about my game collection. I just moved, and so was able to see how many games I actually have, several bins full. My parents helped me move, and I could see their expressions, like "You have more games than clothes. WHY?" I got into console gaming late, and tend to buy consoles late in their life cycle (for better prices), so I feel I am perpetually playing catch up. Thus I have a chronic backlog of games, and tend to obsessively buy ones that I am interested in, knowing I may not get to them for years, but not wanting to forget about them or have them go out of print. I also don't have a lot of time to play....so...it stacks up. But nothing like Jeff, man. He is a true collector.

Posted by clank543

Nice Little Darlings poster. Went there for my 18th birthday and boy, was that an experience. Pass it every day on my way to work!

Posted by robin_smith

hey jeff , can i come round and play all of those un opened games? Not keep them, just show them love?? ill make sure to stay out of your way while i do. but... they.. must .. be ... played.

Posted by demonbear

Jeff, seriously. Ebay.

Posted by Shaanyboi

And this is why i get rid of shit...

Posted by eezo

@BagManForHire: good to hear!

Posted by Dante_the_Jedi

My god it's full of games!

Hope Jeff gets everything sorted.

Posted by beef_melody

Respect for the two Amigas :-)

Posted by TatsurouXIII

...and most of us have to think hard how to get the money for just one new game.

Posted by Will_M

Hell yeah Marc Ecko's Getting Up was a good game.

Posted by Baal_Sagoth

Damn, this is one impressive collection. The thought of me personally having to take care of all that is scary though. I wonder if I ever get to problematic dimensions with my still physical games. I doubt it since a lot of it might be just digital download going forward - for better or worse.

Posted by Tordah

This video made me feel better about my video game and media collecting. It'll be many years before it's gotten this bad for me.

Get shelves!!!
