My favorite part of this is the music, i hope the game is full of tunes like this but without the rap.
I don't know what Dudebro or Neogaf is.

Did you even played Katawa Shoujo or you just dismissing it because it was made by people on 4chan?

Also, that's a visual novel, it's not even a game, you just reading it and sometimes choose an answer or action.

So how exactly do you compare the two?

All I can say about this thread is that it is a mixture of people with a lack of humour, and a bit of green cheese.

I think it is pretty obvious that this is a parody, not something to be taken seriously. I think it is quite amusing that aspect of the game seems to have gone over people's heads here.

I think s/he was making a joke based on the fact that those who love Katawa would jump all over it in defense.

I've played Katawa, it's good but I was kinda disappointed with the quality of a couple of the routes. It felt extremely uneven. I don't exactly subscribe to the notion that it creates a torrent of "feels" inside anyone who plays it, but it's a decent little thing. Especially given the years and effort that went into it. No, I don't care that 4chan folks made it. More power to them.

Comparing the two is dumb, yes. That wasn't really serious, although Dudebro is undeniably more up my street. I would hope Dudebro is a more coherent production, and this trailer certainly gives that impression. That's why I made that comment, comparing the two things directly is asinine but you can at least compare the quality of their productions. I feel, anyway.

I would play this game. That's a complement compared to the loads of 2D indie dreck we normally see.

Yea this whole joke has been done 10 times over, and it comes out really unfunny every time. Check out EAT LEAD: The Return of Matt Hazzard, or Duty Calls, or Duke Nukem Forever. Actually Duty Calls was alright, but that was like 5 minutes long. Also yea I'm not a fan of anything about this, and I don't really get why Neogaf is a thing anyone knows about or is interested in. It's a forum about videogames, right?

Guys, you should probably take a look at the wiki page for this game. Its inception sounds to me like a pretty fun forum event. They just made it into a game, and its free. Why the fuck are people complaining?

Why am I not surprised that some people would rather play 4chan's game about banging underaged anime cripples than this fuckin' rad game?

@Dozeworthy: Because this game just feels like a rant in video game form, whereas the game you're so quick to insult is one made of a legitimately heartwarming tale. It's even more awe-inspiring when you think of the group that made it: people from an online community usually talked down for being sexist, revolting man-children.

Also, if you such a stickler about the nude portions, there's a button in the options menu to turn it off.

As much as quasi-retro games have become stale, this doesnt look that bad.
