I'd love a new F-Zero, but yes, Mario Kart mugging F-Zero for one of its distinguishing characteristics is not a good sign. At least it went out guns blazing with a stellar Gamecube title that still holds up pretty well visually. But it seems Captain Falcon and company have been put out to the Smash Bros pastures along with Fox McCloud, and Samus Aran because they warrant inclusion in a fan service game but no longer seem to warrant their own titles in Nintendo's eyes.

I am sure glad that I do not live inside a planet. I prefer living on one. Personal preference I guess.

OT: Game looks fantastic. I am still not buying an WiiU.

I'm with you. This game looks like a blast, but I got a feeling that Mario Kart is burying F-Zero with the anti-gravity gimmick. Which sucks because I want a new F-Zero!

I think I might need to hop on that bundle, especially with the free game for registering Mario Kart 8!

My theory of buying Mario Kart: If you own any Mario Kart, wait 3 iterations before buying a new one because not much has changed.

While I too would not be too terribly surprised if this game was outsold in June, (it comes out the last day of May) your logic of the character choices being the reason is... well... holy shit.

I never thought I'd be interested in a Mario Kart game after the disappointing follow up to the wickedly good Double Dash that was Mario Kart Wii, but this is looking really really good.

Currently Nintendo are producing the best AAA games on any platform IMO, a new Zelda would be the cherry!
