Looks great, its a day one for me.

Did they fix Raiden's drop kick damage? Well, the juggle props or something? Either way, I need to try this game. Hopefully this is '98 #2.

@leejunfan83: clam yaw ret Cer re US. YOOKAY

Wow Mai is pretty much naked at that last title card! Hooray!

Posted by Foggen

Looks like the mechanics have gotten more SFIV-ey than I remember from KOF.

Posted by RecallBerserk

King of Fighters scrub league please! :)

Posted by ricetopher

Pretty crazy that we are about to live in a world where, with a new Street Fighter and a new Marvel, "is KOF the best fighting game out now?" is a legit question

Posted by MideonNViscera

Excited for this. Never really was into KoF before.

Posted by Juvenfly

"No I have the best broody hair!"

That's racist.

Posted by chickdigger802

Don't know much about KoF, but Max Cancel is a hilariously awesomely named system.

Pumped for this

Japan? Japan.

Now I'm hyping.

Not a big fan of these games, but the United Kingdom stage made me chuckle.

I can't even begin to tell you how disgusted I am with myself, your comment convinced to watch the trailer all the way to the end...

And I generally am not that big a fan of SNK fighters...

Cool art style. Too bad every post-MK9 fighting game is so underwhelming to me, probably because of, yo, MK9.

Posted by Scott757

hopefully it's better than XII

For those interested in playing KOFXIII before the console release, here is a list of arcades featuring it...

Southtown Arcade - San Francisco, CA

Arcade UFO - Austin, TX

The Next Level - Brooklyn, NY

That's the confirmed list. If you guys live near the LA area, one of the arcades such as Denjin, Family Fun, or Round 1 arcade should have a unit after Arcade Infinity closed down.

I'm so confused by the art style. Like the effects and attacks look awesome, and the characters are well drawn... but they seem so dull.
I guess I want them to be a bit more vibrant with their character colors? Iunno. Never played a KoF game before. It looks neat, but I think I've had my fighting game fill for awhile.
Posted by MisterMouse

is this really the KING of fighters?

Posted by JakeLogan

Duck King?
Edited by Rapid

hmm Atlus is publishing this since when....? meh cool.

Posted by YetiAntics

@Foggen: This game plays like KOF2002. so, not quite.

i know exactly what you're talking about. i'd say it might be the colors, but i can't even tell at this point

Am I the only one not impressed by 2D art style fighting game at this point?

Posted by jamesisaacs

Oh yes!!

Posted by Pop

I totally saw someone play this like 2 days ago on a livestream is it out on arcade or something?

Posted by MeatSim

I like how the people in the background are always going nuts in these games.

Posted by PoweredByHentai

This looks like what King of Fighters XII should have been. I'll gladly support this game.

It'll be an great game to utilize at parties. 3v3's will be easier than ever.

Posted by Solh0und

It's good to see Kula and K' making their return,

Posted by Parsnip

Looking at it just makes me want a proper HD metroidvania game even more.

Posted by Xpgamer7

This is the second best thing I've seen today.

Posted by zityz

Urgh. They still don't have my fav character in there anymore. I don't know I may pick this up and at this point they might as well just give Mai nipple tassels and call it a day. She's getting less cloth by the game.

I should probably wait to pass final judgement until they announce all the characters because I personally can't see why they need to take King out of the games. She literally puts King in King of fighters.

Posted by Rmack

@zityz: They have announced the characters; the game has been out in arcades for awhile. King is in there.

In the Los Angeles area a few arcades have it, Arcade Inifinty was the first to have it before it shutdown. Here are the spots.

Alex's Arcade - Santa Ana,CA

Japan Arcade - Los Anegeles, CA (Little Tokyo)

Family Fun Arcade - Granada Hills,CA

Video 94 - West Covina, CA

The best place for KOF play are Alex's Arcade which is where all the AI KOF players migrated to. FFA is great as well.

Oh my fucking god, this is my most anticipated game of 2011. I can't fucking wait.

this. also it almost looks like they re-did the sprites again which will help cause those did not look good blown up.

i really hope this is decent. maybe an actual game and not just a pieced together story mode little characters and a bad online?

guess i just gotta wait and see

I've always thought MK games look ugly, but that's just, my opinion yo.

@Kapwan: Really? Then this is a definite purchase for me.

people have aid lots of good things about this game. i was lucky  enough to get to play the arcade version at one point. players very well, if the netcode is good i recommend it to fighting game fans.

Posted by s10129107

is this gonna be any different from the last million of these games?

Posted by Rmack

@zityz: Yeah, the wiki here has the full list. King is back on the girl team with Yuri and Mai.

Posted by Apollo87

So far is looking good but I was burned pretty bad with XII don't know if I can give it a day one purchase without seeing what the game ends up like, if it turns out to be bad I'll buy it for collection purposes down the line.

Agreed. Shadow Complex was a good game -- great, even -- but it was no Super Metroid or Symphony of the Night. Either of those games remade with HD art and rerecorded music would be fantabulous. An entirely new game that can live up to their legacy would be even better... but sadly unlikely.

I'm looking forward to this. Skipped 12 because of the lack of content. They seem to making amends for that.
