They should get rid of the age gate if you have an account the appropriate age for the video...

The only game that worked well with a canine companion was Shadow Dancer(Arcade/Sega Genesis).
I'm still not convinced about this one.

looks good graphically

Yeah it looks alright, the art design is dull and uninteresting though.

As are the environments we've been shown so far.

did anyone else catch the part where he said that the graphics at first looked TOO real so they had to make him look more "stylized"? thats kind of a ridiculous thing to say.

It looks like a really unambitious game: Batman AA except with a cop and more killing, so the pretentiousness of all the narration really grated on me.  I'll be surprised if this Jack Slate character has more depth than a pop tart.

Is this the Fable II engine?

So wait a minute... this game looked TOO real so they decided to knock it down to stylized crap so that the violence doesn't get to people? So if I just go out and murder steroid freaked mongoloids then it's cool?

So, Dead to Rights has done from the poor man's Max Payne to the poor man's Gears of War.

Kinda nice graphics.

Looks like dumb fun to me, I'm looking forward to it. Will scratch that Blood on the Sand itch.

The first Dead to Rights was actually a great game, the second one not so much. Maybe they can bring it back to it's roots as far as quality goes?

Agreed.. he needs to pull his head out of his arse. If I hear the word 'lupine' once more I'm gonna smash this place up.

Whatever man, you just don't understand the intricacies of a pop tart.  Try getting an education pfffffffffffft.

The dog is not literally his animal side. He is a metaphor for his animal side.  If he were a were-cop or had a lobster claw, that would literally be his animal side.

We used some black and then we used some more black and then we threw in some gray with the black. We felt we were being TOO edgy and original so we threw in some dark  blue.

We really feel like we created an original character here.

Man, talk about pretentiousness where it doesn't need to be!

Nonetheless, I'm interested in checking the game out.

I wouldn't say DtR weas a great game but it was a good game. It was samewhat repetative and forgettable.

I wonder what it it looked like being realistic instead of stylized.

@TheClap: But what if instead of a dog you had a giant lobster at your side?  Awesome, thats what.

The character design is pretty cool, and the mindset they went about designing this character is interesting.
What really looks F*ckin' awesome is your canine companion, the way they designed the husky gives it a sort of predator look, it also reminds me of the main character in a sin-city-style comic I'm currently making, which is featuring ninja-dogs and the rivalry between them.

Anyway, of some reason this game has slipped under the radar for me, and I have yet to see any other footage, but I got to say, this has me awfully interested in the next game of a series I have not even tried.
