@G0rd0nFr33m4n:

I concur, it's pretty great!

It would be strange if SMNC does not end up on Steam, seeing as the original is on there.

Looks awesome.

Does this count as a MOBA, or is it disqualified because it actually looks fun?

@Stubee: I think your green name pretty much sums up how much that opinion is worth.

@President_Barackbar: Hmm I guess when you put it that way, it makes a bit more sense. I could never get into the gameplay of DOTA and hence, the countless clones that popped up in the last 2 years always failed to grab my interest for too long. MNC was special because it was a DOTA third person shooter, and believe me, I can play a third person shooter no problemo.

I guess that's why I'm completely fine with this. I love the concept behind DOTA, so if SMNC is gonna basically go down the DOTA path more, for me that's what's completely exciting.

To each their own I guess, eh? :)

What about the mascot? is it still in the game? that dance was hilarious!

I am displeased with the change in art style.

The "arena" visual design of Monday Night Combat was one of its selling points. Earthy environments with robots doesn't even make sense.

Also, the original MNC has some nice verticality to the level design. Has that been removed completely? I don't see any evidence of it in this video.

I'm a sucker for slow-mo walking with an explotion in the background. :)

@digitalsea87: the 4 chords gimmick is hardly epic

I saw lots of upper levels. Granted no-one was up there but yeah.

I enjoyed the first one for a few weeks, but it just didn't have any staying power for me. It was also horribly unbalanced, because if you went against a team that had 2-3 tanks that knew what they were doing there was nothing you could do to fight back but spam the same thing.
