Learn the Story of Fallout: New Vegas

The Graphics really don't matter what you are paying for is a story designed by someone who worked on part of the original Fallouts, by a team generally better at telling stories than Bethesda. 
 
I find it sad graphics matter that much to people. 
 
The only real problem is animation, but if most of Obsidians drive has been content creation which seems likely then it's no surprise they haven't had time to overhaul systems. 
 
Although I did think the animation looked slightly better than Fallout 3's.

Looks exactly the same as Fallout 3, that does very little to entice me.

Every character still moves and emotes like a robot made of cardboard in this game engine.  I would have thought by now they'd have figured out how to animate things better with it. Guess not.

This looks just like a giant mod.  It looks like Bethesda gave them a sun-warped copy of their development kit to create a game with.  The characters look the same but worse, dialogue system is getting archaic, and I doubt combat is going to get much more exciting.  Even the burnt out cars look identical, and these didn't go through a nuclear blast.  Believe me, I love Fallout 3 but for a game of late 2010 this should be better.

NOOOOOOO god damn spoilers. Sort of. Just pre-ordered this on Steam. Can't wait.

duders, if graphics are an issue, get the PC version, wait about 37 minutes, and download the hi res texture pack that will invariably get put out. Happened for Fallout 3, Dragon Age, Total War games, etc.  I know its silly to rely on other people to improve a game, but it is what it is.  Just stay away from those "body modification/beautification" .zips.  pervs.

The Fallout 3 engine just hasn't aged well, especially on consoles where there's lower res textures and weaker lighting. (And no anti-aliasing)

I always hate these kinds of videos, where they explain basic stuff we had already seen from other developers. "oh the plot is open to change"  "you can explore" "we want to stay true to the first games" 
ITs like they are trying to justify themselves in being the ones to make this game.

No sorry, i have to agree. What they show off in the video i really hope is the worst of their graphics. You know what i mean but really its not good enough. Fallout 3 was very nice to look at, this is obviously flawed in places. Although personally I can't point out specifics, but I'm also lazy.

I really wished they updated the graphics, if not technically then atleast artistically.

I love Fallout. However, I kinda wish they had tweaked the graphics - Maybe even stylised it a bit more?

Man, I know it's more fallout, but it looks a LOT like Fallout 3.
 
I don't think I can play another 100 hours of that.

can't excited about this till i see good reviews, especially when it's obsidian behind the wheel, they tend to be hit or miss.

As long as the story and writing is good, this could look like a launch ps2 game for all I care.

Faces look like barbie dolls.

I don't care about the lack of graphical perfection, weak story or anything of that ilk. I'm here for the experience and the exploration of the Mojave Wasteland.

Gonna strap on my real pip boy clock that runs through batteries in an hour.

The Gamebryo engine is looking a bit long in the tooth these days. I'm still going to play the hell out of this game though.

No they did not exactly up the gfx but what they really improved was the color. Even from the few vids they have shown you can tell this game is much more colorful which is a nice addition to the gray world of fallout 3. Pre-ordered and ready to go!!

They chose some pretty terrible combat shots to show in the video.  Those laser and plasma blasts look like they're doing nothing. 
 
I'll play this, and if it has half of the cool side stories of Fallout 3, I'll probably love it.  But there's gotta be some way to make it more visually interesting.  And the casinos don't have nearly enough lights burned out.

I really hope they don't screw this up.

I really hate the color palette. Yellowish ground, blue sky. I'm sure I'll get over it when I get the game though. Well, hopefully.

Same exact graphics as Fallout 3 with a new setting.  I love Fallout 3 but i think they could have improved the presentation just a little.

They're playing way too hard on the oblivion engine. It still looks like it did 5 years ago, and it's probably going to be just as buggy. Not looking forward to this.

I was looking forward to this, but I have to agree with most of the posters here, it looks kinda crappy. I'm sorry, but maybe I'm looking at F3 through rose coloured glasses; this game seems to look way worse.
