I really hope this ends with a punchout between Batman and Darkseid.

@alex That's Travis Willingham. He voiced Superman in the previous Lego Batman game.

Anywhoo, I jumped off this series after Lego LOTR. Diminishing returns and all that, and I just no longer have the drive to play one of these anymore. It's not that I played every single one, but I played enough that their striking similarity from one to the next has worn me down. I may still get Lego Batman 3 when it's really cheap, though, if only because the previous Lego Batman games are two of my favourites, right next to Lego Star Wars III.

Though even then I doubt I could be bothered to once again collect and unlock everything.

I thought Lego LOTR was fantastic. I just wish they would do more with these games at this point, they're definitely suffering from diminishing returns these days.

Damn, I really need to power through Batman 1 and get to the second, which is undoubtedly better. Though I said the same thing with the Arkham games and well.... Asylum was just really goddamn good.

I really wish they just hired Will Arnett for Batman's voice. Still, these games always look super appealing. The kind of stuff that I'd let my kids play. Not because of the material, but because they actually look like they give a fuck about what they're making, which is way more important to me.

I'm convinced that's Chris Parnell. Or Cyrill Figgis. Can't be anyone else, and if someone ever tells me otherwise, I won't believe him.

I... realize this is super weird to say about a Lego game, but... do you think the hyperdetailed look with the scratches on the figs and the realistic plastic shine and subsurface scattering is real time or CG?

I know, I know, I'm sorry. It's just I wonder if the Lego Movie has influenced what these are going to look like in the new generation or not.

@yummylee: Even though you said you stopped playing after Lego lotr, you should try lego marvel super heroes. I'm kinda tired of the lego games as well, but that game was pretty damn fun.

For reference - Batman and Superman are Troy Baker and Travis Willingham, reprising their roles from the previous game. Wonder Woman is Laura Bailey. I think Green Lantern is Cam Clarke, again from the first game.

I... don't know who that is.

*google*

Ohhh, Cyril from Archer. Yeah, I can definitely hear a rather striking resemblance. So much so that I started doubting myself and checked out cutscenes from Lego Batman 2 to make sure, and... well, if Chris Parnell is in ever need of a voice double, then he really oughta get in touch with Travis :P

There's a Lego Batman 2 trailer by the by with a bit of Superman audio, just to provide a little evidence x)

I'd say Green Lantern's voiced by Josh Keaton, which would make sense since he was the voice of Green Lantern in the animated series, and he looks to play a bigger role in this than he did in Lego Batman 2. He's definitely still not being voiced by Cam Clarke in any case.

If my time playing Lego LOTR on PS3 told me anything, it's that these Lego games have gotten to a much higher quality than last gen consoles can handle, and I don't currently have a PS4. And by the time I get one Lego Batman 3 is likely to be coming out soon :o But I'll still take your recommendation into account! For all I know this could be complete rubbish.

Loved the Batman games, but I might be at the point where the structure of these games is not enough. Lego Batman 2 was as much a love letter to Batman and the DC universe as Arkham Asylum/City were, but there's not a lot else you can do.

I did love the story focus in 2 with The Justice League at the end, and it seems like that continues here. I hate that they have turned The Flash into the minifig version and not kept the cool design from the last game.

New 52 pantless batman always looks weird.

I like Lego Hobbit well enough, Lego Marvel was dope, never been a DC guy but I might could pick this up if they slash the price later on.

Not gonna lie, I really loved Lego Batman 2, and considering how cheap I got that for, more of the same is okay with me. These games seem like the last remnant of "fun" in the DC Universe and I'm all for that.

This year I played Lego Batman 2, Lego The Lord of the Rings, and the fucking DS version of Lego Marvel. I'm not sick of the series just yet. I need to play the console version of Lego Marvel, then I'm ready for Lego Batman 3.

Now I have this urge to go to the store and drop hundreds of dollars on Lego super hero sets. The summer Star Wars wave can't get here soon enough.

Superman is deserving of his own LEGO game by now. LEGO Superman: The Original Adventures based on the Christopher Reeves films. Though III and IV would be really low points, but the first two films would be fun to play through.

Anyone else notice that Robin's hands make a heart shape while he's talking to Batman?

@lucassothegreat: I think that they use the same program created for the lego movie, as wb has the rights to both. So we can expect more realistic looking lego cutscenes now.
