Ken Levine made an announcement today, and it wasn't to reveal a new game. Alex joins me to digest the news.

I think a lot of assumptions were made in this conversation. To think that Ken Levine had total control over what happens to Irrational studio is naive. 2K had terms, Ken had desires, we'll never know how it really went down, but its way more complex on the business side than Ken just wanting to go do something else.

I feel like Patrick is probably overstating Rod Ferguson's role on Bioshock Infinite. Yes, the flashy narrative is that he came on as a "closer" for Infinite, but one man doesn't magically fix the development of a game as big as Infinite. Maybe he helped devise some tighter timeline/deadline or whatever, or helped them choose what to cut and what was going to be possible, but saying he "famously" came into Irrational to do that makes it sound like he's some rock star that can just swoop in and fix everything. I imagine any decisions he made were in tandem with the people in charge of the studio.
