Between the Pathfinder stream and this, Giantbomb has been posting some real Nito content. *rim shot*

Best shit on the site here, folks.

Let the gifs begin.

This and the Pathfinder RPG are the best things I've ever seen ever.

Tomb of the Giants is rough, but watching this somehow made it less so. Loving the feature.

THAT'S JUST MENTAL STUFF RORIE.

Be more aggressive Vinny!

Posted by MormonWarrior

I'm pretty sure in my 5+ playthroughs the only one of the last four major bosses that hasn't killed me ever is Nito. He's always seemed super easy and he gives you plenty of time to spam the Estus flask.

Also, yep, still totally can't stand to watch these guys futz through this game. I guess that's what comes from being super obsessive with the game and getting literally everything in it.

Posted by kerse

Vinny has to be more aggressive and more confident if he's gonna get through this lol.

Posted by bkbroiler

I think Nito is one of the coolest monster designs ever.

Posted by walterbennet

He's really working from a disadvantage by being out of practice with the controls and overall flow of the movement. That's so key to survival in the game. One play session per week is really going to be painful for you, Vinny.

Posted by GioVANNI

If I remember correctly Nito can be staggered if you hit him hard enough.

Game of the Past 10 years

So great..I hope this becomes a regular thing..

Nito always gives me a lot of trouble, or rather, his skeleton helpers always did. I never could figure out a pattern of how to avoid them safely. I never build heavy enough to take them all head on like Vinny did.

This is the only feature I want, ever and always

Edited by EternalGamer2

This was really fun to watch. My favorite feature this entire year.

Posted by Cincaid

Nito is a damn cool boss, set in a really frightening environment. He was one of the easier bosses for me though, especially if you don't agro the bigger skeletons in his room. I remember wanting to throw my controller out the window when doing the Four Kings though. >.<

Fantastic. Easily one of my favorite new things on Giantbomb

Vinny has 3 Titanite Slabs

Edited by Afro_Stevens

Watching this makes me want this game. Thank you, Vinny the whale.

Posted by DexterKid

Goddamn this was so infuriating to watch. These guys over-complicate this game so much.

Posted by davidh219

This is so hard to watch, but also amazing. Keep them coming. It'll take like five years at this rate, but force Vinny to beat the whole game =P

Best feature yet

dude should stop pretending to be bad at game

Awwwww yeah, awesome content!

I think the guys have found the balance, super fun to watch.

These are great!

Fuck yes.Was waiting for this.

I go back an forth between being highly amused and highly frustrated watching these. So much analyzing and not much strategizing. Also I don't really like hearing Rorie making arbitrary rules for vinny about how he "should" experience the game. if Vinny asks a question, they should be willing to help him out with info. This is a game where there is gobs of info out there, and anyone playing for the first time can have as much or as little information as they want. There is no right or wrong way to experience Souls games.

Some people want to stumble through and try to figure everything for themselves, other may wanty to use a wiki while they go through to help them make decisions. They are both completely valid ways to play.

To me, Souls games just need to be experienced, no matter what approach you take. I'm just glad that one of the GiantBomb crew is actually playing it. Dark souls and Demon's Souls are two of my favorite ganes this gen easily.

I played through this entire game encumbered. I really felt like it made a lot of things way easier as long as you have the patience to slow-run everywhere. In a game like this, patience feels like one of the most important attributes though.

Vinny: Let them come.

I agree. Haste was probably my #1 cause of death in both Demon's Souls and Dark Souls.

Well done Vinny! Love the Dark Souls, this has made me jump back in!

Posted by KyleBsure

Thanks for doing this guys. Now I don't have to break a controller in frustration to see more of this gorgeous, awful, frustrating game.

Posted by IanYarborough

@milkman: Christ, I just lost an hour watching videos suggested after that one. Good pull.

Posted by AMyggen

Watching Vinny play Dark Souls is one of my favourite Things!

Posted by colorbrandon

Oh man. Vinny actually had a divine weapon.... Silver Knight Spear
