Did WWE hate him or was it the other way around? I just want to know if the only reason he is in this game is because he is dead and can't do anything about it.

@Roomrunner: There are many popular theories about why WWE would not acknowledge Savage after he left WWF for WCW in the 90's. One was that Vince took him leaving personally and was resentful, another that he banged Stephanie when she was underage. Who knows? I do know that in the last year they had made a legends figure for Macho Man and he was in WWE All Stars which he did a video to promote so maybe whatever the reason was they made amends?

I don't know what to think about this. Macho Man is dead, so NOW McMahon says "let's put him in the game since we don't have to pay him shit for it"?

Oh well. I'll take my Macho Man whenever I can get it...wherever I can get it.

@jakob187: Macho Man was in WWE All Stars before he passed and even made a video to help advertise the game. WWE has done a ton of shitty things in the past but I don't think they deserve any heat for putting Macho in the game...it was probably already planned and people would have bitched if he wasn't in. I'm stoked.

Savage signed an image rights deal with WWE back when AllStars came out. Regardless of his death, they still have to pay to use his likeness.

There's never been a proper explanation for the WWE and Macho Man's estrangement.

A real popular rumor is that Macho had sex with Stephanie when she was 16 or something and Vince saw red, but that's just silly if you ask me.

My biggest theory is that Vince was pretty sore that Macho went to WCW when he'd told Vince that he would stay in the WWF. However Vince wanted Macho to do commentary and not wrestle (WTF!?) which is a big reason (aside from the big pay increase in WCW) that he left.

Also, when Macho left he took with him the Slim Jim endorsement deal which was worth a lot of money, especially at a time when WWF was struggling financially.

Finally, Randy was one of the wrestlers that Vince apparently was real friends with, so he felt very betrayed by the whole ordeal. I mean, he had a very heartfelt goodbye to Randy live on Raw and it must've tore him apart that he showed up on Nitro the next week.

Macho Man pretty much made a clean break with wrestling/drugs and his brother said he was having the best years of his life. He'd been smart with his money, so he didn't have to embarrassed himself on TV like Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair are doing now, he remarried the year before (Surprisingly with an age appropriate woman, unlike Hogan who married a proxy for his daughter) and he was making amends with both Vince McMahon and Hulk Hogan after years of animosity.

Macho and the WWE had reconciled after years of bad blood and he signed a Legends contract a year or so before he died so they could make action figures and include him in video games.

Can't wait for Jeff's Quick Look on this! His WWE All Stars coverage was awesome:) Hope this game is half as good as that one.
