I know Giant Bomb is full of Madden haters (and based off of 2006-2009 it's understandable) but this is another step in the right direction that will get flamed anyway. Normally I'm not much of an online sports game player myself but with co-op and online franchise I'm going to at least give it a shot.

Yeah right, because the coach dictates every scenarios, every play, the players don't have to think , no creativity involved whatsoever. Sports that employ movement-restrictions are dumb. No dynamic = not sport .

@RampageEndsHere: You obviously don't know much about football, there is plenty of room for creatvity. Watch any of the top quarterback/wide-out teams in the NFL and you will see plenty. Not to mention Runningbacks, and plenty of Defencive Backs that do their best work coming in after an initial tackle. Players like Troy Polamalu who make crazy plays like jumping over the line to make a tackle.

But, on to the game, it will be cool if they make it like NHL's online teams.

Ugh, call me crazy but: this is NOT what I want in a Madden game... I don't care about 1st person football: i don't want to run routes, and I sure as hell don't want to block.

I play Madden because it's a real-time strategy version of a football game. EA - If you want to do the 1st person thing, spin it off as a downloadable title and iron out the kinks but for Madden just give me better graphics, more/better animations, more unlockables and more unique lines of dialogue (play by play)!!!

Anyway, this looks like an ok feature that I will use a couple of times. Online franchise on the other hand would be amazing.
