The fact that it reminds me of Splinter Cell: Conviction makes me extremely excited. The complaint about Conviction not being stealthy, well look here.

Better than the previous motion-comicy-thingy trailer. Odd though, I keep forgetting from time to time, that this game's coming out. Too many other games coming out to get too hyped 'bout this one, I guess...

I'm not the most die hard hitman fan but all that shooting worries me.
 
I just don't want it to be like conviction where stealth is very heavy and important at the beginning but at some point the game abandons it's own mechanics and turns into this crappy run and gun

@Tennmuerti: Yeah no kidding. I hope they don't lean to heavily on the shoot dudes parts. Silent Assassin is the baller method. With that being said, I hope they include some of those OP weapons they had in Blood Money so I can run around like a kill crazy maniac when I feel like it.

I'm fine with them allowing for more action oriented gameplay so long as they keep the borderline puzzle game routes and redundant solutions that I loved so much in Blood Money. And I do mean redundant in the positive sense that each aspect of the mission has several substantially different but equally effective approaches (and not just "enter through front door or air vent").

I'm incredibly happy with how much smoother all the gameplay looks. Even Blood Money still looked like a puppet show.

As someone who's played Blood Money and Silent Assassin to death recently, this looks excellent.

Hitman games have always been perfectly good, but hardly more than that, and they fell apart whenever you deviated from a Silent Assassin track (which you ALWAYS did in the first two games, since the sneaking was so much slower than walking that you could never incapacitate dudes and were pretty much forced to use your gun), and in Blood Money enemies were so consistently wimpy that wasting dudes just got boring after a while.

Ultraviolence is an essential part of Hitman, since some levels can be so frustrating to stealth through that merely blasting everybody is the path of least resistance. It should be fun, and I'm glad they're stressing that dichotomy so much.

The only thing they can do to improve Absolution is to end it with 47 walking into a Paris Opera house. True fans would lose their fucking minds.

That close range silenced silver baller move looked so cool. I really want to hear 47's new voice, because I loved his voice in previous games and I'm worried.

Blood money was (is) awesome, this game looks even better.

Fear not. I went to the PAX East panel, where they did two play-throughs of the same level; one completely stealth, just like old Hitman, and one where he just massacred everything. Both looked extremely fun, and the devs made it a point that you could play it either way, with stealth not being dumbed down in any way from previous games.

All I can think about is the narration of cars in Hot Pursuit. (Sounds like the same woman). Throwing syringes also looks pretty cool.

Glacier 2's looking almost as good as CryEngine....

It's totally fine as long as you walk around a bit between the staring at the corner sessions.

have they shown any of the actually interesting assassination scenarios that made the older games fun? all the kills in here looked generic and boring and only against regular grunts
