Mario Kart 8 Is Koopa Kid Friendly

I want a new F-Zero.

Once upon a time, I thought that was a good idea. But then... I feel it would kind of cheapen the gravitas of Smash Bros. Smash is a fucking event, but if you had every Nintendo property colliding every year/platform multiple times... it wouldn't feel as special.

This looks really awesome. The tracks look amazing. I haven't really paid much attention to Mario Kart in recent years but it looks like they added a whole bunch of new mechanics too.

The Wii U may not be as powerful as PS4 and XBONE, but I think just being in HD is good enough, because this is fucking gorgeous. Nintendo and their art styles always go the extra mile and look great for years

I can't believe that I'm actually genuinely excited for a new Mario Kart. Since the first trailer last year this has looked really promising. I usually buy those games anyway and play them for some amount of time, but 8 looks like something else. The crazier the tracks, the better. If you want a "serious" kart game you can go play that mode from Gran Turismo 5 or something.

As for the character roster. After this addition, they're kind of starting to scrape the bottom of the barrel when it comes to new characters, but I don't think they should turn this into Super Kart Bros. Mario Kart was always a "E" rated game and I don't feel like Zelda, Link, Samus and company would fit into the presentation style. Looking at actual Smash Bros., that game looks a bit more "mature" and violent than your regular Mario Kart, which is also reflected by the "T" rating. I don't know. It would be pretty weird to see the 7 foot tall Samus sit in a tiny version of her spaceship with wheels attached to it.

@dank_: The motherfucking Koopa Kids, they've been in like half of the Mario Party games.

Why couldn't they just add Nintendo characters ala Smash Brothers? I like Iggy and the KOOPA KIDS as much as the next man, but this is pretty lame.

I'm no fan of the Wii U, but this looks really good. Nintendo needs some positivity, and this should get some.

Day one purchase for me. It looks awesome. And quite beautiful. Such a relief after the ugly monstrosity that was the Wii game.

Though to be fair, the 3DS game looks quite nice too.
