Have you been on this planet long enough to know how trailers work? They take lines that may or may not be in the final cut and they stitch them together in ways that are not native to the actual experience.

It doesn't change that it's poorly shown. They could've stitched together something which doesn't sound awful.

I thought you had to pre-order the game to watch this launch trailer.

@Lugixx: Metal Gear Solid 4 has awful writing. At worst, this is a bit cheesy. But like everything else BioWare does these days, it illicits an overreaction.

Eh, the launch trailer for ME2 was much better.

I know right? I was looking at Applederp's comment and going like those aren't how the lines are said at all. If they were said like that, they would be pretty bad. The way I think of these ME3 trailers is the same way I thought of the movie Drive's trailers, they show a lot of intense action, but this is not all it is about. Both these things are not about the destination, but the journey to get there.

I'm not watching this, but I am pumped for some more Mass Effect.

@Applederp: Dude I'll grant you the first line was clunky but that second line, and the way it was delivered, was pure awesome. I hope it's not two lines spliced together and is delivered in game just like the trailer.

I hope Hackett doesn't look like that rushed, fuck-up in Arrival...

@aceofspudz: If they had Femshep do the voice over, I think this would have been a much better trailer. I mean, it was an amazing trailer, but Maleshep is a piss-poor voice actor in comparison to Hale.

But I do agree that I overreacted. I guess it's because I don't like what they seem to be doing with this game, and whenever I see something else that's dumb from Mass effect 3 I'm reminded of the other stuff which I don't like. Like the dlc debacle. Or the leaked script. Multiplayer's cool though. And now I'm rambling.

What I'm trying to say is that I see it as another piece in the puzzle of "Mass Effect 3 is going to suck!" Otherwise people (and myself) would accept it as some bad trailer editing.

P.S Doesn't all the MGS games have awful writing?

The crazy thing I noticed was they used a different version of the song from two steps from hell: heart of courage. That is the song that was in the mass effect 2 launch trailer. The less overplayed one, plus we have been hearing early buzz the game kicks ass plus a lot of people have been digging the demo. The demo got two of my friends who never played mass effect to buy 3 and one of them went back and bought 1 and 2. The other guy that did not buy them is borrowing my copie of mass effect 2.

I was already in, but as soon as Garrus said his line I was like "fuck yeah, lets do this!"

They just had to throw the sex snippet into an otherwise excellent trailer. Thanks, Bioware.

I really hope that my decisions in the past 2 games really make a difference in this one.

yeah totally agree. too many big moments shown in the vid. I shall watch nothing else me3 til its in my hot little hand lol

in the demo the fact that they changed voice actors for shephard was realllly throwing me off. anyone else feel this?

Do we get to play in the space battle and pilot a fighter? ;)

I hope in the end (more so paragon-wise) that it's not the typical "Shepard must sacrifice himself for life in the galaxy to live on". I guess no matter which way you look at it, I can't see any ending in which it isn't typical, but I know it's going to be an ending well told, I just hope my Shepard and very little (or any preferably) characters die. Which I doubt will be the case unfortunately.

I play most games on PC. I'm buying so many copies because I'm buying the game for both the 360 and PC. For each platform I'm buying the CE from Amazon, then standard copies from GameStop and Origin. The hassle of returning the extra copies after I redeem the DLC isn't going to bother me nearly as much as it'd bother me to not have that content.

To touch on your point, pirating DLC wouldn't allow me to play multiplayer.

C'mon dude it's not gonna be like "Hey Reapers hold on a minute I'm just gonna go have sex be right with you". It takes time to get places, and not a whole lot you can do after you're ready.

Oh man I glad I didn't watch this before playing the game most of the final space battle scene is there, the Mass Effect 2 Launch trailer is still better it just gives you chills.
