Maybe OlliOlli's the Skateboarding Game We've Been Waiting For

Cannot wait until the end of the month!

I'm more interested in this for the sidescrolling platforming. That and I get to play on RAD MODE

I can't remember the last time I had fun with a skateboarding game.

Me too. Weirdly my most anticipated Vita game.

I have very few games for my Vita. But it's games like this that I love to play on it. Sold.

This looks really promising. I'm just imagining my thumbs doing the required movement for a kickflip.

But will it have free Oxen DLC?

The first Skate was a really really good open world skating playground that I still play with friends to this day. They squandered the potential with the sequels by going to far over-the-top, and doing too much to simplify the harder tricks, but that first Skate...damn.

I really would like another Skate game.

Maybe we'll get a revival of Yanya Caballista: City Skater. You never know!

This looks really goddamn great, and the daily challenge mode is awesome. Plus, it's called Daily Grind!

Edit: That was the first thing to come out of my mouth, now I've had time to process, I'm sure it looks like a fun game. Pixel art is so hipster though, its almost as cliche and dull as a negative comment ;)

Awesome, I feel like I saw a trailer for this a long time ago (a developer of the game was talking perhaps, maybe it was at E3?) and I was interested then. Hopefully the controls will be good and it looks like it could be a really cool game.

I bought a Vita and sold it because the mem cards were stupid high in price, so when they come way down, I will buy a Vita again. Anywho, looks nice, but I don't think Tony Hawk(in spirit) is done quite yet, I also think Guitar Hero has a chance of returning one day as well.

@nmc2008: Amazon periodically has sales on them. I got a 16gb for 19 bucks a month or so ago.

RAD MODE

What song was that?

I can handle retro graphics, but retro on a handheld feels a little too soon, you can do cool things with a massive widescreen and pixel art but on a device in your hands it feels like less of a cool thing.

So this is just Trails but with a skateboard. Meh, wake me up when they make Skate or Die again.

Times sure do change... That is not the kind of music I imagine when I think about skateboarding, no matter the style or setting. I'd go as far as to claim the music really clashes with the rest of the trailer, and I find it annoyingly distracting because of that.

Just me? Okay then.

I have watched this three times now. I am not sure if the game is rad or if it is just the trailer. We will see.
