The hidden-head factor can be very effective, as in the case of Pyramid Head. I'm seeing some perhaps unconscious design parallels.

This is definitely gonna be one of those "NOPE NOPE NOPE" enemy moments.

As much as I love these videos, I can't help but feel like the impact some of these enemies is going to be lessened. I can't complain because I'm doing it to myself, but god damn it, when something like "Boys of silence" and "Bioshock" appear in the same sentence, I just can't help myself. The creepiness... it's too enticing!

The E3 demonstration was more than enough for me to make a purchase, so when every single game website has videos and the thumbnail spoils what enemy is shown, it makes me a bit sad =(

Less smug bullshitting about how awesome their simple ideas are and perhaps an enemy that didn't just scream his head off. It's not exactly new, much like a simple AI with a big gun and lots of HP isn't new. An enemy that sucked away all sound would be much more interesting...

More variety than Bioshock had at least. Bioshock 1 had splicers, splicers, big daddys and splicers.

Maybe have a little faith and give it a chance before you dismiss it without having played the game? I definitely agree that obscuring a face is unnerving.

The sound is creepy but the head just looks a little goofy
