yay iOS?!

edit: this game looks potentially maddening.

o-kaaaay. That's a thing.

nope

Funky trailer, despite me having no idea what is going on. I mean if it's the developer of Canabalt, it could be pretty good?

Posted by Video_Game_King

OK...what the hell am I doing in this game? What's the goal? What are my means of achieving it? What are the rules of the game?

When he come on anroid machine?

You're making one hundred, one presumes, by holding your finger down on the circles. Some circles are linked, some interact with the others in various ways, looks promising.

Hopefully it teaches me as much about derivatives as Canabalt did about free-running.

The numbers Mason. WHAT DO THEY MEAN!!!!!

Posted by JoeyRavn

You lost me at iOS. Too bad, the game looks interesting... though I really don't get what I am supposed to do in it.

Or Frog Fractions about fractions.

No idea what's going on there.

I'm guessing you clear levels by touching the bubbles until the sum of the size of the bubbles reaches 100 - probably without the bubbles touch each other, when you hold your finger on them. Seems neat.

Coming to android? If not then, suck it hundreds.

Seems like you've got to "grow" 100 points, but if the circle touches any other object while you're doing so, you lose. Looks fun!

Such a bummer that iOS games have even infected Giant Bomb

I'm glad I bought an iPod Touch this past November. As a game/music device, it's pretty cool.

The only iOS game that kept me up late at night was Game Dev Story. Will try it out cause I thought Canabalt was neat.

Edited by 2HeadedNinja

since when is GB posting trailers for mobile games? I was hoping we wouldnt see this stuff here.

Crap, I have to wait in queue now? At least tell me what the average waiting time is.

Posted by zFUBARz

Not to be the "OLD" guy but that seem a lot like some very old flash game from back in the day.

If you can't recognize the brilliance that is Space Team, then there is truly no hope for you.

Looks alright, I guess

This trailer sounds amazing on my 7.1 headphones

Question 1) is it 10million?

No?

Then I'll be sleeping just fine.

Edited by TheGorilla

The game doesn't work for me. Won't get beyond the startup screen. Waste of money.

Edit: started working after a phone restart. Not sure what my problem was. It's a cool little game.

Sorry for having Android as my mobile ecosystem of choice. If Hundreds came out for Android, I would at least try it. But I dislike iOS and I am not going to get an iOS device (again) to play a game.

But I'm glad to see the cultured, informed Apple Defense Force is healthy and alive in Giant Bomb.

Posted by Spaceyoghurt

Some sweet design going on there. Have to check it out, even though I'm not much for playing on my iPhone.

Posted by RetroVirus

Looks neat.

For those of you interested in the game I wrote up a blog post about what it is and my quick impressions.

Anti-mobile folks, it's time to grow up. Whether this turns out to be one, or not, a good game is a good game no matter what you play it on.

Let alone the fact that in this era of console rigidity, where it's ridiculously hard to get an indie game out there, phones have exposed us to a whole world of innovation for usually a 60th of the price of the next cookie-cutter blockbuster.

If you don't personally like playing games on a phone, fine. Don't. But don't decry progress.

Circles and numbers!? this game has everything.

If you consider someone predicting that people would talk shit a "defense", then yeah, guess so. Considering the way you felt the need to preemptively apologize for owning an Android device, it almost seems like there's some sort of persecution complex in effect. Do you happen to run Linux as well?

Posted by notha

i dont understand all the mobile game hate here. why does the platform a game is on make it automatically shit?

Posted by ttocs

This might be OK on an iPad. I can't see playing it on the iPhone though. Fingers on a small screen would definitely be a hindrance.

Posted by Th3irdEye

@MeatSim: Not everything. Just hundreds of things.

Oh wow, there's a whole extra anagram-based message deciphering bit. Finally, another application for my Letterpress skills (or lack thereof)!

It's like Jezzball, but your aim is to make 100 using the sum of all circles

Circles cannot collide with each other while they are expanding/contracting, else you fail.

Looks quite cool to me but as someone stated, I seem to remember this exact game from a few years ago.

Posted by SithToast

@TheGorilla: The headphone guy or the red screen with the circle that has round one in the bottom right corner? If you are stuck there, just press round one!

Meh. Drop 7 was a flash game before it became Drop 7, and for a while now people have been playing Boggle and Scrabble compulsively on their phones. Single button "run to the right" games had also existed way before Canabalt. I think it's time we agree that it's not as much the core gameplay design but the implementation that counts on this kind of thing.

I wasn't apologizing; I was being ironic. Big difference that seems to have flown way over your head. I consider you part of a "defense force" the same way you generalize and put in the same bag everyone who doesn't like iOS. Not that I feel persecuted by random Internet smartass #6641512185, but if you don't want people to feel persecuted, then stop "predicting" how they will behave. So that's that.

And, no. I'm running Windows 8 Pro x64. I'm pretty happy with it. But you've also got a problem with Linux? Man, it sucks to be you. So rooted in the iOS ecosystem that everything outside of it is against you.
