Right. We either need a futuristic hook on these recycled modern warfare, medal of honour FPS games.

OR

We need to be allowed to play as terrorists. I kind of want to see the other side of the coin. Let us play as bad guys! Let us take god damn hostages, negotiate with SWAT teams, blow up buildings. God damn it just give me something interesting instead of the same game over and over again!

To be fair thanks to Frostbite 2.0 this looks kinda more "solid" then Call of Duty games.

And imho MoH's singleplayer suited my tastes better then CoD title's SP. Felt more grounded and "real", so maybe they stick to their strong points instead of escalating the action more and more into the absurd.

Also let's all be honest here: These games are by now like reading Tom Clancy books. You don't read Tom Clancy because it's finest literature with deep and complex character progression, you read it because you like the "action" and how it's described/explained. Tastes are different for a reason, because in entertaiment there is never such a thing as "perfect" or "the ultimate best".

While we are at it: I feel like "indie puzzle games with physic gimmicks" are also really oversaturating the market ;)

No one at Danger Close is forced to develop anything, the door is there. We're also talking about a large company like EA, what do you expect them to do? You really expect them not to continue using the group of guys that have been around since EA LA was a thing? You really expect them not to slap MoH or Battlefield on something at this point to boost awareness?

If anything EA has done a great job with new IP's this generation for the most part, there are lots of other creative games to play that aren't Modern Military or even Shooters. Just because something is being developed doesn't mean it's for you, if you don't like it move along. Crying about what else those developers could have been doing makes no sense.

Also not sure if I wanna play any more of these games...if it gets great reviews I'll probably give it a shot but I think Modern Warfare (the setting, not the game) is dooone for a while. We need to get all future/future an shit.

It's not so much that I've grown tired of of the modern setting, but the fact that the majority of these shooters are trite and uninspired. Over the top, cinematic, linear, on-rails, etc. You might as well watch a movie. Hell, even the trailers follow the same paint by numbers approach! Inception-esque music, jarring cuts. Slap the Modern Warfare or Battlefield logo at the end of the trailer and you probably wouldn't bat an eyelash.

Remember when WW2 shooters were all the rage, and everyone was sick of them. I think we're well past that point with modern military shooters. Seriously. I can't believe people buy all of these.

I thought I was seeing a COD:MW trailer. There was a time when MOH was original. The first PS1 games were some of the best shooting action of that time. Now with these "modern" games they are just "me too" games.

A WW2 game in frostbite 2 could be awesome, thinking about it...

This trailer didn't really do anything for me but I really enjoyed MoH's campaign and I'm interested to see what Danger Close does with this one.

The male voice over in the very beginning reminds me of the mission briefings of Rogue Squadron.

It affects me in the way that, these are talented teams, that could be working on amazing original games, but instead are forced to produce the same game every year, because publishers love money, and the masses love these shallow games...

Hey guys, explosions and action packed shooting isn't exclusive to modern warfare. Some people are ok with the idea of those things even if they don't play the modern warfare games and don't mind that stuff in other games, especially if it's a better looking medal of honor.
