Who are the voices of the giant mechs?

Having never played portable ops, how in gods name did that or will this make sense in the fiction. I mean, I know it's all about outer heaven and such, but you have multi-snakes. Is that just ignored in the story or what?

I hope that they make it different to Portable Ops, although I loved Portable Ops it didnt feel like the Metal Gear that I had come to love.

i like how they threw up the handsign for peace but it also means 2 which may reference the cool co-op focus- for which this game has some of the best and clever implementation of co-op i have ever seen. 

I can't believe the man who wrote The Watchmen movie and the first two X-Men movies is still doing voice acting in video games.

I had no interest in this really until now. Although I have played every MG except the card games since MGS1. 
 
But why PSP? I hope they drop that platform after this game and make straight PS3 games.

Why isn't this on PS3!?

I like how Metal Gears are huge deals in the '90s and even by 2005, yet in the '70s there are multiple MGs that are substantially larger than even Rex.
 
I love MGS, but honestly, this whole "bigger and better" mentality makes NO sense in the context of a prequel.

I kind of hate how they show you what the game could have looked like right before you see how shit it looks on the psp. ps2 port please.

" Actually, I felt like the story gap between MGS3 and Metal Gear 1 was pretty huge.  It's a long way to go from fighting The Boss to establishing Outer Heaven.  Portable Ops covers some ground, but it's practically a side story.  Also, while there is pretty clearly a post-Shagohod vehicle there is also something that looks like a Metal Gear.  We don't know much about the story yet, but the fundamental premise of Metal Gear 1 was that Big Boss owned  a Metal Gear.  He has to get it sometime, and it looks like this game is going to encompass that entire time period. "

" As much as MGS3 was my favourite Metal Gear game, and one of my favourite games ever..  I have to scratch my head at the logic here.  The whole story seems to contradict MGS3, which went out of its way to explain that the Shagohod wasn't a Metal Gear and that they went with that project instead of building Metal Gear Rex.    Yet now these "Metal Gears" seem to be based on the Shagohod.  Not to mention the fact that MGS3 more or less completely tied up Big Bosses character.  I see a lot of people complaining whenever we see a new Halo or Final Fantasy game, but this is the very definition of an unncessary sequel.  It adds nothing to the story, messes with the continiuity and only raises further questions. "
