Microsoft Unboxes an Xbox One Three Months Early

I didn't even know the thing had a power button. They must have been so stoked about that "Xbox on" thing that they forgot to mention that.

FASCINATING! <~~~~~~~ To be perfectly clear this is not a sarcastic "FASCINATING!" as in "Wow who gives a shit!" it was a genuine exclamation of sincere interest as in "Isn't it extremely interesting how the thing was removed from it's packaging and is quite shiny and important looking!" Okay I realized as I was typing that that it once again seemed sarcastic. This is difficult!

I thought this one had an internal power supply. Nope! Big old power brick. (Just a pain to put it some where / more cords.)

Looks big, but nice. I'll get one 6-12 months after a PS4.

Unboxing's aren't exciting if you know you can't get this stuff yourself for months.

The headset is a nice touch, though I can't understand why anyone would pay money up-front to get boring graffiti on their controller.

Nice lookin console. Glad they're including a headset, trying to push Kinect as your main way to communicate for games was silly pants.

@skelington_: You have to remember that the video isn't meant for us. It's intended to be quick to keep people with short attention spans tuned in. It is also because their goal is to get this content on major publications (think more mainstream) who would not put up with an overly long video.

No more Red Ring, now the console will just straight up tell you "I can't allow you to do that" and turn back off. Innovation.

So enough people complained and Microsoft removed always online DRM. Then enough people complained and Microsoft added a headset. If enough people complain, do you think we can get Microsoft to add a PS4 to the bundle? I mean, $500 is a lot, but if I can get a Xbox One that also comes with a PS4 for only a hundred more dollars, I'll totally buy an Xbox One. ;)

Can it go on its side? Does the kinect sensor slot onto the actual console at all? Or is it still meant to be placed on top of the tv. I assume on the tv.

this^ microsoft got away with 360's breaking like crazy because they had been out for a year when they started bricking. They wont get away with that shit a second time

Microsoft is pushing hard. Have to admit the Day One logo is a cool idea as you should get credit for lining up at the launch. Would be nice if it were on the console as well.

@bill_rizer: A lot of people watch a lot of videos on this site. I haven't bought every game I've watched a video for though. The difference being that hundreds of dollars vs minutes of your time are very different asking prices.
