Unboxing videos are a awful and a small part of Humanity died the day companies started making them themselves.

Pretty cool seeing this as cheesy as it was. Can't wait to see the PS4 one. The next gen is coming.

Considering the console's size, I'm surprised it still needs a power brick. I like the sound the power button makes :D honestly though, the only thing pushing me off this a bit is the price. Otherwise I'd be all over the XOne

@danthegamer32: From what I've read, it seems like sticking with an external power supply and having a large form factor are mostly a result of the engineers overcompensating for possible heat issues. They don't want a repeat of the issues that plagued the 360.

I'm more concerned about the lack of front facing USB ports. For fighting games, you need 2 up front easily accessible USB ports for sticks. With only the 1 on the side, and 2 in the back, it'll be a pain in the butt. I guess that means I have to switch back to PS for primary system.

I'm pretty sure the fat PS3 was already slightly bigger than the original Xbox. And definitely heavier, by a lot. But they're both no Pioneer LaserActive.

Edit: Which looks quite similar to the XBO now that I think about it. Huh.

That whole thing had me cracking up in a good way. When he mentioned how the special day one edition controller has a chrome d-pad and then said "beauuuutiful!" I was laughing out loud.

System looks neat, c'mon Microsoft, release it in my region so I'm not forced to get a PS4 at launch.

No, but... really... it IS kinda sexy and I'm also impressed by how heavy it looks, but how light it seemingly is. I definitely couldn't have held up my old VCR and spun it around like that with only one hand.

Those are for attaching the Kensington security cable so that if it's in a public place (or a dorm room, etc.) people can't walk off with it ... without leaving a huge chunk of the case attached to the cable ... if they don't have cable cutters or the key/combo.

Oh man, I can't wait to see all the Kinect sensors with the protective plastic still on them a year after release.

That's what a god damn American console looks like! Taking it back to the way the first xbox looked. When you pay hundreds for a piece of machinery, it should be big and beefy and that you can feel where your money went. Fuck yeah. All we need now is for them to release a special edition Xbox One Duke controller.

Sony fanboys are the biggest devourers of Xbox information, they literally cannot stop themselves from watching every Xbox related video and reading every related article, it's fascinating. I think that Sony fanboys are secretly in love with Xbox One.

It's still pretty hysterical that the standard edition doesn't come with an HDMI cable, so far as I've heard. At some point it must cost about the same to manufacture a composite cable as it does to make an HDMI cable, right? On the variance of a few dimes per cable?

@bill_rizer: Eh, I ignore fanboys at this point. When you realise the priority isn't how happy they are with their (intended) purchase but more about obsessively whining about something they don't own or want the whole validity of their comments kinda goes out the window.

Just eyeballing a few comments here is an odd fixation around power bricks and handles of all things.

That theory holds no water(coolers) since the 360 had its own massive power brick they haven't changed anything in terms of power supply, the PS3 never had a power brick and it was fine (for the most part)...

At the end of the day can we agree that external power supplies/adapters (that are daisy chained) in 2013 is crazy! The icing on the cake would be if the AC power cord (pretty much proprietary) 2 pronged with a grounded 3-plug.

I'm curious as to why he used the term "x86 processor". Isn't that instruction set a given... perhaps since like 2000?
