I played one multiplayer game of the first Modern Warfare.  It was fun, but wasn't enough to make me play any more.  The single-player was really good, though, and that's why I'm getting MW2.

The answer to your first question: It can't sell if it is just fucking CoD 4, and we all know it. Those people who play that game are NOT willing to get it just to have the new thing. 
 
Also, glad as fucking hell that they realized how shitty the first venture into online CoD usually is. I hated the game the first 5 or so matches I did. Hopefully this will do more to fix that rather then be more of a mart.

The multiplayer component is looking pretty good. It seems like they have made some meaningful changes while keeping what it was intact for the most part.  
But nothing will ever replace headquarters on Shipment. Nothing. Ever.

50 Cent's Modern Warfare 2 would be awesome.  I would totally buy that game.  If they fix the M16 and make it not a bitch weapon, I'll be happy.  Then the garb players will actually have to use a real gun to play.
